What do you think about the MFYs bringing Contreras to Single A. This is great for us considering we would have signed him, and he would have been a complete bust.

Wow, I wasn't even aware that this happened. This makes me GLAD that the sox got "beat out" by the yankees in the bidding war. Talk about unlucky, paying 6 mil for a single A player.

 

But I can't complain! It happened to the yankees after all. It's a good thing.

I know this is relatively old, but he must be so embarassed. Going from "the best pitcher in Cuba" to single A in the yankees system is a big jump. Either way, I'm glad the sox didnt pick him up. Plus they made the Yankees pay more for him.
