    Time for Barnes to either retire or get sent down to single A. I thought there was a chance but tonight takes the cake. He's useless.

    "not suited to the role": Perfect quote! Trade him or sell him or send him back to the minors. No alterantive.

    Perhaps this has already been said but, as avid Red Sox Fans, we are thoroughly fed up with the performance of Barnes. Simply can not understand why Cora continues to bring Barnes in when there is a one run lead. When he comes in, I get a gut feeling every time that he isn't going to hold onto the lead. When Abreu came up, I stated before the first pitch was ever thrown, that Barnes was going to feed up the big one and Abreu was going to put one over everything and he did. What really t's me off is how he invariably messes up the first batter he faces and struts around the mound like he's done something special huffing and puffing like he's in charge. Back to the minors as far as I am concerned.

    You're correct, but I've still blown a gasket watch the seemingly endless stream of singles flow off of the TB bats in the 3rd. I'll eventually get over it but will probably see a rise in my blood pressure every time I see Velasquez or Pom come to the mound going forward.

    Cora blew it this evening. He sits and watches Velasquez give up 7 singles in a row without blinking an eye as though everything is fine 2+ innings and 80+ pitches. Then he brings in his other top notch pitcher Pomerantz who gives up a bomb to center. No problem, right Cora. Why didn't you just pull the team off of the field. Unbelievable.

    I've got an idea! Can't wait to see Vazquez perform in the playoffs. Leave him home.
