    For the life of me I cannot understand why many folks here are not Brock Holt supporters (and no intent to throw shade on you, Moon, this just seemed like a good segueway into raising this topic). As you will see I seldom post here, being overwhelmed by the baseball knowledge present here... but I lurk nearly every day during the season, looking to gain knowledge. Brock has become maybe my favorite Red Sox at this time; he’s played nearly every position except pitcher and catcher, has a batting average at or near the top on this team, and is a wonderful clubhouse and community presence... why would you want to let such a player go?

    Perhaps my memory is flawed, but I definitely recall posters like Slasher9 and Moonslav with a Red Sox board prior to this one.

    I don’t post here like almost never (obviously!) but I have been following this board for many years, back when it was associated with the Boston Globe. As proof of that, I clearly remember a character who went by the name of Smiley Beni. I just want to comment that over the years you are my favorite poster, but your login pic may have something to do with that:). I really should participate more, but the depth of baseball knowledge here can be downright intimidating... visiting this board is a morning ritual for me, and it is folks like you and many, many others that makes it very entertaining, and informative.     Any Cleveland area Sox fans here? I’ve got tickets for the Friday and Sunday game, just one seat; my daughter was going to join my wife and I for this trip (we live in Rochester, NY) but it looks like she won’t make it due to some late commitments. There’s still a slight chance she might make the Friday game, but Sunday is definitely out. Friday night tickets are upper left field bleacher seats, Sunday is much better, first baseline. I paid $50/seat for the Friday tickets when I bought them earlier in the year, $150/seat for the Sunday tickets. Will let them go for 1/2 price. If interested, please email me: ohgunrunner@yahoo.com.     On the plus side, Spanks are losing to the Orioles 4-2, top of the 8th.

    Hey, remember that Oriole game a few weeks back when we were getting our ass kicked and we pounded them? There’s still hope (although with Pom on the mound it’s a long shot).
