As fun as it was to watch Teddy Ballgame at the plate, it was just as much fun to listen to him when he talked about baseball or anything else. So many great players were complete bores off the field, but not Mr. Williams.
X-man, Devers and Verdugo are a very good core of players to build a team around. My one thought would be is to start grooming Devers as a 1st baseman.
Dalbec is a AAA'er who's just not seasoned enough. I don't think, at this time, he should be in that group. Although, he may prove to be in that group later. I hope not.
How dumb are horses you may ask? Well, if you ever watch that steeplechase in England, even after the horse has thrown it's rider, it continues on with the jumping. A smart animal, like a pig, would throw the rider, give the crowd the finger and exit the premises.
These games should not be referred to as losses, especially in this dumbed down whatever it is. I would much rather refer to these games as rebuilding experiments.
