    As fun as it was to watch Teddy Ballgame at the plate, it was just as much fun to listen to him when he talked about baseball or anything else. So many great players were complete bores off the field, but not Mr. Williams.

    X-man, Devers and Verdugo are a very good core of players to build a team around. My one thought would be is to start grooming Devers as a 1st baseman.

    I forgot that new rule where a player is put on 2nd to start the inning in extra innings, so it's gonna be tough to go 20.

    Dalbec is a AAA'er who's just not seasoned enough. I don't think, at this time, he should be in that group. Although, he may prove to be in that group later. I hope not.

    There hasn't been many SOX games televised in my area, so I hope this one goes 20 innings to help make up for that.

    How dumb are horses you may ask? Well, if you ever watch that steeplechase in England, even after the horse has thrown it's rider, it continues on with the jumping. A smart animal, like a pig, would throw the rider, give the crowd the finger and exit the premises.

    These games should not be referred to as losses, especially in this dumbed down whatever it is. I would much rather refer to these games as rebuilding experiments.

    Actually, to be fair to bulls, horses are the really, really dumb ones.

    I don't understand why pigs get a bad rap. They are the smartest animals on the farm. Bulls, otoh, are dumber than shite.

    Dalbek is a perfect example of rushing someone to the big show when he's not ready. All it accomplishes is to destroy the young man's confidence.

    Seems that Bobby may also be missing the video machine. He's missing everything else. To him that 1st game must seem like a year ago.

    He'd also be in a more terrible position if he had to look for a pinch hitter.
