I was under the impression the Sox were looking for a RH bat at the time they traded for Mead. -
Worst case scenario is the Sox leave the West Coast 5-2. Anyone have a problem with that?

I don't believe the Sox need a catcher. What they need is a good starter and a good reliever.

I figured it would be closer to the deadline. Dodgers didn't give up a heck of a lot for Skubal and they'll probably out bid everybody for him during the off season.
