    Smashing hard hit balls directly at someone isn't that easy, but of late the SOX have made it into an art form.

    Having a pitch count, having 4 days rest between starts, doesn't prevent some pitchers from having a tired arm nowadays.

    Based on the 0-5-1 series record the SOX have versus the Rays coming into this game, I don't think it's much of a stretch to post the Rays own the SOX. That the SOX beat them in the ALCS last year has to be described as a minor miracle.

    If by 'homegrown' you mean Bello was not obtained from another major league organization, then the last successful SOX starter who fits that description was Clay Buchholz. He debuted for the SOX during the 2007 season. So yes, it's been a long time.

    Now the only thing the league appears interested in is speeding up the game no matter how many more stupid rules they have to implement.

    There's a lot of pitchers in the HOF who made a living pitching inside, but under today's rules they would be warned or thrown out of the game. There is nothing wrong throwing inside as long as it isn't head high. And if the pitcher hits a guy, well that used to be part of the game.

    It's always dangerous when a pitcher is throwing a wet baseball. Surprised it doesn't happen more often.

    You're 100% correct, but Bogey is leaving anyway, whether he's been productive or not so far this season.

    Both JD's and Bogey's lack of production, so far, will make both their departures less painful than if they were both producing.

    At least this season, so far, has kept us from discussing that controversial subject 'clutch hitting.'

    At least the SOX got 3 RBI from their 3 & 4 batters tonight. That's been rare. Although 3 of those 3 RBI came from the 4 batter. Bogey now has 34 RBI and JD has 33 RBI.

    I hope Cora will start making Ref the everyday RF. I've posted this before, but Cora ignored it.

    If Kike hadn't gotten injured, we probably wouldn't be seeing Duran blooming.
