    I'm not going to crtique anyone else's posts, but I will critique one of my own. Late in yesterday's game I made an extremely optimistic post regarding the SOX that quickly came back and kicked me in the face. I'll do my damndest not to repeat that mistake again.

    The Cards, based on their W/L record, most likely lost games they probably should have won earlier on. Now the opposite is happening. What I do know is this Cards' team is much better than their current record.

    Cora is not a moron. He's also not a genius. He's an average manager who had a remarkable debut season with a very good SOX ball club.

    This is also what happens in baseball when a team that is much better than its record starts turning the corner.

    Matz vs Sale A battle of 2 left handers. Hopefully, the SOX can initiate another winning streak. The only thing I'm certain of regarding today's game is ticket prices are as low as $52.00. Go SOX!

    The A's situation is understandable. The Rays' situation is deplorable as is their ballpark.

    Do you think Oakland fans like their team? I watched part of an A's game at Oakland recently. There might have been 200 people in attendance and they were all sitting behind homeplate.

    Based on the regular season, the BRUINS 'should have' won the Cup. When things end badly, 'should have' will, most likely, always be part of the sentence.

    Tough loss, but like Moon said, Paxton was a bright spot.

    The Cards were overdue to get hot. Unfortunately, they couldn't wait until they left Boston.

    The umpiring has been s***** for both teams. Angel Hernandez is the face of MLB umpiring.

    Overall? Does that include Paxton?

    Maybe the SOX powers that be should schedule their pregame festivities on a night when the celebrant isn't available to close.
