  1. After Wong there's a canyon to cross.
  2. Seeing as how most in this SOX line-up can barely hit 93-94 mph fastballs, anything faster would just be overkill.
  3. So this game could possibly feature a Duran Duran performance.
  4. Bernardino vs Lopez(RH) Duran Devers O'Neill Abreu Wong Smith(DH) Cooper Hamilton Rafaela Go SOX
  5. At least tomorrow's game is at 2:10, so it won't conflict with me watching the choking BRUINS tomorrow night.
  6. So tonight's Twins' starter is the weakest of the three. "How does that grab ya, darling? How does that mess your mind? How does that grab ya, darling? We're leaving .500 far behind." Apologies to Nancy Sinatra.
  7. "Uwasawa puddy cat. I deed, I deed."--Tweety Bird
  8. At least Devers made this game less embarrassing.
  9. And yet he leads this team in RBI. That should have given us a hint that reality was gonna show up sooner rather than later and here we are.
  10. Earl had some power at the plate also. I saw him hit a couple of balls out by the monuments at the old Yankem stadium.
  11. 18-13 is going to seem like a hundred years ago. I almost drank the punch.
  12. On a side note. If, or should I say when, the BRUINS lose tomorrow, I'll be able to give the SOX my undivided attention. Isn't that special?
  13. Now the Twins are just piling on. One was enough.
  14. What about Dave Morehead and Bill Momboquette? Both pitched no hitters.
  15. Looking at this offense, the SOX FO may realize that 'cash considerations, don't work. There's usually a pretty good reason when teams take cash and not prospects.
  16. It's similar to being appointed to the Supreme Court.
  17. d, I can't defend the SOX impotence tonight, just like I couldn't yesterday.
  18. There was someone today starting for the Tigers who had a very good ERA and had an 0-3 record. In his 5 starts for the Tigers his team provided him with 3 total runs.
  19. Houck is a perfect example of why the W/L record for a pitcher is virtually a worthless stat.
  20. Just remember before getting too upset, the goal this season is to not finish in last place.
  21. Just like yesterday the SOX batters are having trouble with the fast ball. I thought it was curve balls and sliders that were tough to hit. Who knew?
  22. Tough to pitch when giving up one run may be a bridge too far to overcome.
