  1. Opposing pitchers find him very likable.
  2. The Angels are unique in one way. They're the only MLB team once owned by a singing cowboy. "I'm back in the saddle again." I wish.
  3. Yup, you make a good point. With all his recent injured history, he'd fit right in with the SOX.
  4. I hope you're right, but I believe the SOX own Canning. They just like what he throws.
  5. Well, Angels' fans pay to see Trout. Similar to carnivals when paying customers went to see the bearded lady.
  6. The Angels have one championship(2002) in their 63 years, so it might be worse being an Angels' fan.
  7. Based on the SOX lack of depth, Story's WAR s/b about 10.
  8. Fortunately, the SOX won't see Detmers anymore this season.
  9. This is just more proof of how good the Angels' Detmers is.
  10. That ball was screaming for a long time. Canning's just what the doctor ordered.
  11. Grissom started his rehab assignment Friday with WOO. Rehabs can go a maximum of 20 days.
  12. Romy Gonzalez is out with a wrist injury. When asked by the head of the SOX medical staff if Romy was sure it wasn't his shoulder, Romy was adamant that it was his wrist.
  13. The SOX IL has become an LL(Laundry List).
  14. You are correct, sir. I should have began with the 2012 season. I don't know why I started with the 2011 season. Brain fart.
  15. Well, the SOX have finished last in the AL East 6 times in the last 13 years. It'll be 7 in the last 14(50%) after this season. How? The SOX FO is still waiting for their HS draftees to reach MLB status. IOW, they're banking on prospects to turn this embarrassing franchise around. I did notice a lot of empty seats tonight, so that's a start, or is that an end? Stay tuned.
  16. By the time September arrives we will look back at these early posts and realize just how wrong we were about this SOX team. Now many here would say he's either kidding or he's a damn fool. Well, the only way I can respond to those assertions is to say they would be correct on both.
  17. If you got lemons, make lemonade. Since 2020 the SOX have made barrels of lemonade, except for 2021, which was an aberration.
  18. I believe the SOX will be near the top of the league in 'come from behind' opportunities. Not 'come from behind' wins, but just the chance to do so.
  19. I don't follow the NBA, but I do follow hockey. And one thing I've learned is the regular season doesn't mean shite once the PO's start. I guess that's a little less true with baseball, because half the league doesn't qualify for the PO's.
  20. Dalbec has made it into an art form to be behind in the count.
  21. Kind of like finding a drinking establishment where you feel comfortable.
  22. I wonder after 1918 at what point the SOX fans stopped talking about their previous 5 championships? I don't think many of us have reached that point yet, but that point will eventually be reached.
  23. Btw, they did win two championships. I'd be amiss if I didn't mention that.
