  1. Btw, I am able to post on my cell phone, but not on my Mac laptop. Anyone have an answer to this problem?
  2. Devers with 10 K's in 1st 3 games is a record. Congrats Devs.
  3. My prediction is that Bregman ends up signing with the SOX, but only for 5 years with maybe an option after the 4th year.
  4. I can understand why Arenado and Helsley would be available, but I have no idea why they would include Herrera.
  5. Speaking of trades, here's the latest trade rumor involving Casas. Casas and Winkowski go to the Cards for Arenado, Helsley and Herrera. Helsley is one of the best backend relievers in baseball and Herrara is a 24 yr old catcher, who in 72 games with the Cards last season hit .300 with an OPS of .800. The values of this trade are pretty close. If this is a serious potential trade, I would do it in a NY minute.
  6. I don't believe it's much of a stretch to say at this point that the SOX have one of the worst ownerships in all of baseball.
  7. The good news: The SOX still have their 3 top prospects. The bad news: They're still prospects.
  8. Obviously, this skullduggery by the SOX FO and ownership has convinced some fans that the SOX tried to obtain Soto and Fried. No they didn't.
  9. The SOX bidding on Soto was a major sham. They knew 700 mil wouldn't be enough. Anyone here expecting Teo, Bregman, or Arenado to be a member of the SOX will be seriously disappointed. Btw, I'm also pretty positive that the FO knew that what they offered Fried wasn't gonna be enough. Sham(e) on them.
  10. I recently heard that the SOX offered Pivetta 19 mil to be the #5 starter.
  11. JH is employing the art of NO-MONEY BALL
  12. Here's a new slant that won't happen, but I think it would be a wonderful trade. Send Devers to Toronto for Vlad and then buy Bregman. I think the SOX would agree to that trade, but I doubt Toronto would.
  13. JH sent Breslow shopping, but only gave him enough money for food and an Uber ride. Thank goodness Crochet wasn't a FA, because the SOX wouldn't have gotten him either.
  14. It appears now that Breslow is kicking the tires on Randall Grichuk of Arizona. Breslow's kicking while other teams are picking.
  15. One of the GM's at the winter meetings told a reporter that Breslow was the most 'interested' GM at the meeting.
  16. Actually 3.5 times as much.
  17. Until the SOX have new ownership.
  18. The SOX continue to operate as a mid-market team with high-market ticket prices. Good news: Sandoval is a LH. Bad news: Coming off TJS, who knows how effective he'll be and we won't find out no earlier than July, 2025. It would have been funny if Soto had accepted the SOX 700 mil offer. JH would have had a heart attack while shouting out "I was only kidding."
