  1. True, but there's no hiding a bad defense.
  2. They're 14 -5 in their last 19 games. The Yankems are 5-14 in their last 19 games.
  3. For the most part the SOX have done well against Cole, especially Devers.
  4. But considering everything bad that's happened to the SOX so far this season, it is a minor miracle where they are in the standings.
  5. Unless Hamilton was unable to play tonight, it makes zero sense. I've stopped trying to enter Cora's mind.
  6. Unfortunately, Wong appears to be coming back to reality.
  7. Good hitting is usually in direct proportion to bad pitching. And vice versa.
  8. Try to be objective. Which hitting combo was/is better? Manny and Ortiz or Soto and Judge?
  9. Devers has a good shot at a Golden Sombrero.
  10. Another s***** HP chUMP. There's no shortage of those in MLB.
  11. Valdez and anybody wouldn't make a good DP combo.
  12. Dugo not wearing his gold necklace. Maybe trying to change his luck.
  13. One has to wonder where the SOX would be in the standings if they just had an average defensive infield. F'ing Story's injury obviously didn't help.
  14. It sux what happened that inning, because once Houck walked Soto and Judge, he was more or less facing a Marlins' line-up.
  15. Hamilton is also a better hitter than Valdez, so it makes no sense, unless Hamilton has an injury. Being that this is the SOX, that's entirely possible.
  16. 2nd bad start in a row. With his innings total so far this season, this is a foreign country for Houck. But, as usual, bad defense comes back to haunt the SOX.
  17. Valdez sucks at 2nd. Why isn't Hamilton playing 2nd? WTF!
  18. One can only imagine what Billy Martin would have done to Volpy.
  19. Thank you, Dopey Volpy. Just terrible base running.
  20. Interesting is that Judge has a .314 BA, 32 HR's and 83 RBI and he's second to Gunner Henderson in WAR. 32 HR's and 83 RBI's would be a very good full season for a lot of major leaguers and it's still early July.
  21. BTW, the 5th player on that list is Bobby Witt, Jr. He ranks 3rd.
  22. Over the last few years he's probably been the Yankems' most effective starter against the SOX.
  23. Of the 5 highest WAR's in the AL 4 are AL East players. Henderson, Judge, Soto and Duran.
  24. Nestor the molester has a 1.78 ERA at home and over 5 on the road.
