  1. Tough break for Pivetta. He definitely deserved better. Don't panic, SOX usually lose the 1st game of a series. Missed opportunities early on came back to bite SOX on the ass.
  2. Not fair; their LH batter can hit lefty pitching.
  3. That being said; good job by Kelly. He's been solid so far this season.
  4. Always a gamble to have a reliever go two. Hell, it's a gamble when they go one. It's just the nature of the job.
  5. O'Neill had a muscle, er, I mean brain cramp. Unfortunately, managers nowadays just shrug that s*** off. Being loved is more important than being feared.
  6. Third lefty reliever in a row for Dodgers. Who can blame them.
  7. It's a LH heavy batting offense that hasn't had much success against lefty pitching. It wouldn't be a stretch to state that Rafaela has been the SOX most productive RH batter.
  8. Great job by Pivetta tonight. He was lights out for 6 innings.
  9. Maybe it's his shoulder or maybe he's swinging too hard, which actually slows down his bat velocity.
  10. Not too shabby is correct. Just stating that Raffy has been slow catching up with waist high and above fastballs.
  11. I think that makes sense, but Cora should have someone warming up. I'm sure he will.
  12. 78 degrees is about perfect for everyone.
  13. The opposing pitchers are doing Raffy a favor when they don't throw him fastballs waist high or above.
  14. No question; at this point LH pitchers are the SOX Achille's Heel. It's quite ironic that the SOX themselves don't have a LH starter.
  15. Here's a surprising stat I just found. O'Neill has a higher OPS+(130) than Duran(125). Not only is it surprising, it's utterly ridiculous.
  16. I just checked and you are correct. While checking about the rubber, I found that if a ball does hit the rubber on the mound w/o being touched by a player and it goes foul, it is considered a foul ball.
  17. I think if the ball hits the rubber on the mound and is caught, it's an out. I may be wrong, but I seem to remember that.
  18. One big disadvantage; this is the 1st game of a 3 game series.
