Cora will probably bench Brock for that.
  2. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I don't know if it's randomness, but the SOX success rate against NL teams has been unreal for quite a while. Guaranteed, if the SOX reach the WS, they will beat any NL team they face.
  3. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Another team's GM speaking to DD on the phone: "OK, I'll do the trade, but I only want Lenny Clarke."
  4. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Nunez, Swihart, and Lenny Clarke for a BP arm.
  5. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
It's really bad that these *******s calling balls and strikes don't have to answer to anybody.
  6. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Note to DD: Drop everything; your team needs another BP arm. ASAP!
  7. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Umps should be treated like the vermin they are.
  8. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Maybe the SOX will have to replace Kelly with Hembree as a bridge to Kimbrel.
  9. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Beni's definitely in a slump, but he still has a long way to go to match Harper's slump.
  10. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
New rule: When Kimbrel comes out of the BP to close at Fenway, the SOX PA has to play DUELING BANJOS.
  11. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    Oh, before I forget. F you, C.Smith.
  12. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Pitching coach: "I don't know what to tell you, Joe. I'm not a psychiatrist."
  13. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Looks like Kelly woke Harper up. That's not good.
  14. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
That's it. Kelly will have to get a new lawyer. I'm through defending him.
  15. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Only if the SOX ate two thirds of Price's remaining salary.
  16. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    OK. Trade Holt. Only kidding.
  17. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Looks like Holt's going to hit his way out of the line-up again. Remember, Cora loves Nunez.
  18. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
But to be fair, he's definitely having his best season, so far.
  19. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I'm not sure there's a reliever in the league who has a harder time of getting the 3rd out than Barnes.
  20. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I was just trying to say that pitchers like Sale, Severino, and Scherzer can make good hitters look bad.
  21. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Betts demonstrates tonight why good pitching beats good hitting and also why good hitting beats bad pitching.
  22. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
This game in regards to the SOX reminds me of Little League, where the pitcher was also the best hitter.
  23. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Right now I'd offer Harper 5yrs/5million.
  24. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
It was great that POR got a double tonight, but the NL has to adopt the DH rule. This nonsense has gone on long enough.
  25. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Sounds like you're describing E-rod, also.
