  1. The big difference between good hitters and average hitters is that good hitters will foul off tough pitches.
  2. Billy Rohr had a pretty impressive debut for the SOX a long, long time ago.
  3. 4 days rest and a pitch count, and still these Nancy's need a rest. Anyone remember 4-man rotations and no pitch count?
  4. Well, Jason, I did post before the game that BEEKS should be pitching for the Orioles or the Cardinals.
  5. To be fair, the SOX farm has provided some great bats.
  6. Pretty much what one would expect from a starter that goes thru the SOX farm system.
  7. I guess SWI will be BEEKS' personal catcher this year.
  8. That's better than having VAZ in RF.
  9. Oh yeah, the Blue Jays. Thanks.
  10. 'Beeks'- sounds like he should be pitching for the Orioles or the Cardinals.
  11. Having said that, the SOX BP has been throwing a lot of 7's so far this year.
  12. Matt's been darn good out of the BP so far this year.
  13. Except for a few exceptions in the league, when a manager goes to his BP, it's a crap shoot.
  14. Poyner threw nothing but strikes. Nice job.
  15. Great play on both ends. Definitely a marked improvement in Devers' defense.
  16. Is it 'lapper' or 'laugher'?
  17. Note to SOX opposing pitchers: If you don't have your 'A' stuff, call in sick.
  18. Nice piece of hitting by Mr Travis.
  19. There's 30 teams in MLB. It's obvious there's not enough good pitchers to man these 30 teams. It's the same in pro football, basketball, and hockey. Every big city wants a pro team, but the simple truth is there's just not enough talent out there. We SOX fans complain because the SOX are having an issue with a #5 starter. Many teams are lucky to have 2 good starters. The Tigers are a prime example.
  20. Last year Barnes wouldn't have gotten out of that. He's been a much better reliever this year.
  21. After that inning Barnes won't be available again until Saturday.
  22. Buck Farmer. Is that a money crop?
