    I believe I'd heard that the Sox have the toughest remaining schedule in the AL.

    I would keep Masa and give Buehler one more start to prove himself. If Buehler sux then DFA him. As for Hendricks might as well DFA him also. I believe you can gather from my posts that I don't want Devers back..

    I'm pretty sure at this point the Giants would return Devers back to Boston and still allow the Sox to keep the 4 players in the trade package.

    Just a reminder to curb some of the enthusiasm around here. This will be the 4th straight year the Sox have been over .500 in mid July. Do I believe this is a better team than the previous 3 years? Yes, I do, but the FO has to avoid dumpster diving before the TDL like they'd done in the past.

    Btw, the only 'experts' who rank Devers as one of top 10 hitters in baseball are the ones who haven't seen most of his games.

    The Sox FO needs to acquire a #2 starter, a 1st baseman and a backend reliever. A back-up catcher is the least of their problems.

    I've noticed that Matt Holliday's other son Ethan got drafted at #4. Gee, it doesn't seem that long ago when PAPS picked off Matt at 1st base.

    I agree with most of your post. My choice for runner-up would be Chapman barely squeezing out Rafaela. As for Bregman I agree that he's missed too many games.

    Freddy Peralta of the Brewers has been mentioned by some Sox talking heads. He's under team control thru 2026.
