  1. Help me, Renda. Help, help me, Renda.
  2. The SOX will score 10 runs again tonight because they're machines and not human.
  3. Speaking of Kinsler, it's weird, much like C. Smith and Thornburg, that a week after arriving, he's injured.
  4. POR is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.
  5. Xtra Innings is doing both home and away feeds tonight, so I'll be able to view this game on NESN.
  6. Before we determine Kimbrel's fate, I think we should see how he does in the remaining 47 games and the playoffs. I'm pretty sure that's what DD's doing.
  7. Mail delivery from Amazon can sometimes be very slow, Spud. I'm still waiting for my Henry Owens' autographed baseball.
  8. With HP umps I believe the problem is more about consistency than accuracy. If the ump is calling a certain location a strike, even if it's not, as long as he is consistent with his calls. Batters and pitchers can adjust to that during the game. What's been an issue of late is that along with errors in accuracy, there is no consistency.
  9. Tears of rage, but I believe the bad call was on a slider.
  10. Right now the SOX are playing .737 at home and a measly .672 on the road. But, seriously, HFA is a big plus.
  11. Trying to do change Sale's approach from a strike out pitcher to a contact pitcher would be disastrous.
  12. Speaking of Price; he actually did quite well out of the BP in last year's post season.
  13. I'm guessing it's better than Price's.
  14. You left off the Shite Sox, who, I believe, would fall somewhere between the awful and the abysmal.
  15. The worst pitch call I can remember occurred a few years ago and it involved David Ortiz and the Yankems, of course. In a close game with the Yankems leading, Ortiz was up as the tying run, I believe. With a 3-2 count the pitcher threw a pitch that was low and outside, not even close to a strike, and the F'ing ump called it a strike to end the game. I always wondered how Ortiz didn't end up strangling the ump.
  16. The best and shortest way to describe JD is that he's a sane version of Manny.
  17. I think the moral of this story is shut down Johnson after 6. Getting 6 from the #5/6 starter is completely acceptable.
  18. If the SOX just play .500 ball the rest of the way, they will have 103.5 wins.
  19. Check your airbags.
  20. Baseball wise, Pillar and JBJ are the same player.
  21. Kelly in the 9th. Fasten your seat belts.
  22. Kudos again to DD.
