  1. It looks like it's MLB initiative (1 Billion), I bet all teams will have the NIKE swoosh in their uniforms very soon. I hope you like it when the Sox implement it, money talks, nothing we can do about it
  2. I know Voit can swing it, but Rizzo is just in another level in both sides of the ball
  3. Valdez was not in Urias class, he was just a back of the rotation pitcher. Urias off-field issues don't look so severe like Russell and Osuna; I'm sure the Dodgers did their homework on this, normal fans like you and me probably will never know
  4. LOL I'll call Cashman to give him the a trade proposal with the Dodgers: Cessa for Bellinger
  5. your second proposal is something the Dodgers might agree to
  6. Dodgers and Sox are a good match for this trade and some of the above players might make sense, but they can remove Pollock and Urias of the equation and still have a good trade. Something like this Betts, Eovaldi & Chavis for Maeda, Barnes & Rios (This is a trade accepted by the simulator)
  7. Besides Urias is Mexican they have been looking for the next "Fernando Valenzuela" for years and won't trade away the chance of keeping their Mexican fan base happy and the revenue that comes with them. I don't see them trading him away specially in a trade like this.
  8. You can get Maeda, is a good piece in the trade. But not Urias, the Dodgers are still high on him, they see him as a top SP, they are just handling his workload; they will jump him to 120-140 IP in 2020, he will start in the rotation and will move him to the BP in the second part of the season; if everything goes right and without any serious injury he will be in the rotation full time in 2021.
  9. I Like Rizzo, but not for Andujar; if we deal Andujar it should be for a good SP. If we can get Rizzo for Voit and some others mid level prospects, I'm all in. The Cubs will want a top prospect for Rizzo and we're not that desperate for a 1B
  10. Torres is not a prospect anymore, if one part is missing I'd place almost everybody on the table for him. If the price is right go for it
  11. there was no SP available which was a "game changer", everybody was asking for Torres on any trade for a front line starter; just imagine another team asking for Devers in a trade, you just slam the door on their face and stop communications
  12. It looks like Gardner is back 1Yr/12.5M
  13. Who knows, the mets are famous because they mess trades very often
  14. I read somewhere that they are talking to the Astros about Correa, that will be a blockbuster
  15. please show me ONE POST where I diminish the Sox or make a statement like "the sox are toast" and I will apologize, no problem. You won't find it
  16. Rendon to the Angels 7/245 Pocello to the Mutts 1/10
  17. you need to clarify that is top 10 in the Yankees system, some people have selective reading skills
  18. Mets talking to the Astros about Correa, if they make a trade sending Thor to Houston, they will effectively replace Cole. They can unleash his potential
  19. In order to do that the Sox need to make it out of the regular season
  20. We better take advantage of this window, because this contract will come back and bite us in the rear side. Teams have been more conscious on the value of prospects and the big market teams have invested heavily in Latinamerica where a big part of the top prospects come from, that and a lot of luck will get a team on top for an extended period of time. The case of the Dodgers is a clear example of this, they been incredible in the draft and in the International market, even if they don't have a WS ring to show for it, it doesn't diminish their amazing farm system in the last few years.
  21. You are correct, but with an investment like this no one will let some prospects to stay in the way of a WS ring, Cashman has been cautious in dealing prospects, but if we get closer to the trade deadline and we have one clear weakness and dealing prospects will fix it, then you deal those prospects for the missing parts
  22. If the Astros trade Correa they will ask for the moon. Their objective is salary relief, I don't see them taking a big salary back if they trade Correa
  23. You're probably right, if he's healthy, he's adequate in the field, not as good as Judge but not as bad as JD. A long shot, but with a good and healthy season and with current FA prices he might be inclined to test the market again.
  24. before this year FA class I was sure that Stanton would never opt-out of his deal, now I'm not sure. It will depend a lot of what Rendon gets, if he gets a massive deal, in Harper's neighborhood, With a good season from Stanton he might get tempted.
  25. Cole contract will be an albatross the last 3 or 4 years for sure, I just hope we get our money worth in the first 4-5 years
