He's 31 with two years left. He'd be available at the right price. Red Sox should just see which of the Alonso/Duda/Morrison trio will take $5 million, and make an offer for Abreu at the deadline if they faceplant.
I get that, but that still is just an excuse for an umpire being terrible at his job. Unfortunately, it will probably take several blown calls in a Game 7 of the World Series for the system to change.
