Jim Callis writes for mlb pipeline they have Allen rated as the 71st overall prospect and he’s number 8 in the Padres system, which is a great system.

Logan Allen is a good prospect but not the top pitching prospect in baseball that is just foolish. Dombrowski is known for talent evaluation and I stick by my story.

That statement is just so wrong. Lots of the same guys running the system. Traded Jalen Beeks a 12th round pick for Eovaldi through great development. Traded Espinal for Pearce through good development. There issue was the graduations, trades and international penalties for 2 years.

I think if everyone agreed they had that deep of an Arsenal they would rank higher and that 18th ranking is before there number 1 prospect was traded.

Not so sure on that you might be wearing your yankee rose colored glasses. I am excited by many of our lower level prospects but realize we will not be top 20 next year.

Last year he wasn’t seemed every game from July on was an adventure. There was no such thing as a 1,2,3 inning from him.

We won 119 games last year with Kimbrel being an average closer.

Kimbrel caused me to have near cardiac arrest many times last season. I’m alright replacing him. Barnes has become underrated ready to come into his own.

Other teams have better prospects to offer, Guardians aren’t accepting low level pitching prospects who may never pan out for Kluber or Bauer. They want major league ready players.

What Dave did in June and July was a royal flush could not have been more perfect. Also has done a great job picking what prospects to stay and which to hold.

After the Sox just won the World Series if George were still around the Yankees would have Harper, Machado, Corbin and Eovaldi signed. Hal and Hank are much more cautious.

I believe that is the only way they would be able to get one of the Guardians pitchers. I just see Cashman hesitant to pull the trigger, Very much like Cherington was.

Yankees front office right now reminds me of the Ben Cherington years not offering quite enough with the top free agent pitchers, falling short a year on both Corbin and Eovaldi. Missing out on Cole last off-season. Not sure they are going to go as high as other teams on Machado, I’m going to guess they wait out his market.and in terms of trading for Kluber or Bauer not sure they have the prospects left to get that deal done unless they trade off the major league roster. Of course I may be completely wrong and they trade for another top arm and sign Machado.
