  1. https://www.nj.com/expo/sports/erry-2018/10/20006582959897/mlb-rumors-how-much-will-yanke.html Little sidenote, Olney talked to Doctor who performed 2nd TJ, on Eovaldi, and the Doctor did a different procedure, then what is usually done. And he's monitored him since, and says his arm is even better now. He should have no problem going forward, but that is something I expect, for his client. But he might be right too. That's the gamble.
  2. Listening on the radio last night's game, Buster Olney said Eovaldi is going to get good Money. He said, 80-100 Million Dollars. It's just about years now. He guessed 4 year deal. Big Bucks now, Post season has risen his stock, Olney said big time.
  3. Happy Birthday, hope many, many more!!
  4. https://nesn.com/2018/10/gehrig-a-rod-rafael-devers-is-insane-company-after-world-series-debut/ Nice!!
  5. I reset my thinking, if we go up 2-0, I think we go same ole, same ole, and Cora elects for Defense. JBJ sits 2, and Benni 1. If we were down 2, he would go Offense with Mookie at 2nd. Split he goes Defense too. Mookie in Outfield. JBJ wont be missing much time if we get leads, and especially big leads. You can debate it anyway we want but JD plays, and somebody we like sits. Good point after game 3, that's where you rethink things.
  6. Happy B-Day, Raffy Devers!!! Getting old, 22 today.
  7. So Espinoza had TJ surgery last year, he has 600 innings left in him? You almost have to make him a Reliever then. After a few years in the Minors, to Rehab.
  8. I say after Post-Season, he'll test the Market. Cant blame him. Has pretty much said it, too, according to Sean McAdam.
  9. Going to be even Colder tonight, welcome to New England, LA.
  10. Might be last game here tonight, enjoy it. We go on the Road, and become "Road Warriors".
  11. 5-2 Out RBI's, nice Clutch hitting. 4-12 RISP, Nice too.
  12. NO! Get Patrick Peterson!!
  13. In Big Park, Pomeranz could work. Stay positive.
  14. Big Pre-game speech from Bill Belichick.
  15. More I think of this game, I think a Classic Pitching Dual. At first thought beatdown, rethinking this, these 2 are just too good, and tough Competitors. I feel BP game coming on.
  16. That herky-jerky, motion, and the way he hides the ball, sure glad he doesn't throw 97 anymore. I expect a lot of Curveballs, and the Bruce Hurst style with him too. Even 92-93, the way he hides the ball, it gets on a hitter quickly.
  17. Looks like to me Kershaw has turned into a finesse Pitcher. His K rate has dropped significantly, since his velocity has gone down. Last year 202 K's in 175 innings, this year 155 in 161 innings. That's a pretty big difference to me. Don't expect a lot of walks with him. 29 BB's this year. Don't wait around swing the bats. Be aggressive.
  18. JD Martinez last year after Trade to Arizona played every game in RF. Even when they played the Twins in 2 games, he played RF. After Trade, Arizona went 44-28 with him in RF.
  19. Dodgers not a big running team, about same as Houston. Stolen Bases not a big concern. 2nd most HRS in the Majors. Dodgers hit more HRS at home then on the Road. Big Park, they have Power. Hit better on the Road for Average though, pretty significant too.
  20. Anybody think the Colder weather is going to effect the Dodgers. I do.
  21. Marino went to SB his 1st year, never went back again. 8-10 in the Play-offs. Choker in the big games. Bad example.
  22. Many years your funny. Like he is an old man, Mookie can play 2nd in his sleep. No Problem. Seen him play it. He's a very, very good 2nd Baseman. Has the arm, quickness, and range. Pedroia can play 1 position, Mookie can do a lot things. That's why he's a MVP. Great athlete.
  23. We've got some Love for the Manager. But he is here to do a job.
  24. Cant have JBJ sitting in Dodger Stadium, (huge Outfield), I'm betting he plays CF, and Mookie plays 2nd. JDM in Right. Take 2 in Fenway, easy decision.
  25. Right, Traded for Schoop, couldn't hit. Put back a 6'4" 230 pound Player, who had Zero experience at 2nd ever, and 39 games was the difference. Talk about taking a chance. So your saying he forgot about everything, in a Position, that he was groomed for? And you think 39 games before Play-offs was the difference? Have to disagree there. If Mookie played 2nd steady, he would win Gold Glove, or probably best 2nd Baseman in Baseball, Defensively. He wont need no 39 games. EDIT: When asked by Sean McAdam, " It's been awhile to get comfortable (second). But, I've done it my whole life, so I'm sure a Ground ball or so, I should be OK."
