    This is the only downside to October baseball. I have no idea what I'm going to do in the evenings now.

    IMO we're going to be hearing a lot about that shoulder in the upcoming weeks and not much of it will be good. I'm certainly not saying that his career is over but I think we'll learn more about the "rest" he got during August & September and why he didn't get more innings in the post-season.

    If Swihart is going to stick on the team they have to find a place for him. Unlike the WS a team cannot carry the 25th player on the team just so they can pinch hit for the catcher. He's got to have another spot and I don't see where that spot would be.

    Price came here for two reasons, for money and to be on a team with a chance to win it all. He got both and since much of the core group will be back next season he has no reason to leave.

    Machado reminds me of Albert Belle in this way: The owners won't want to sign him because of the optics of it but they'll do it because he's a great talent and they know they can't trust the other owners not to do it. He's nothing but trouble for MLB and the team that signs him.

    The 2004 team was special because they were the first (and they eliminated the Yankees after being down 3-0!) but IMO the 2018 is an overall better team.
