  1. Yes the FO made a huge mistake on signing Panda. We all agree on that.
  2. Great post. I totally agree.
  3. Not mentioned above is the fact that Aaron Boone brings back a terrible memory of hitting that ALCS winning HR off of Tim Wakefield in the 2003 post season.
  4. I have the Extra Innings package and get two feeds for each game every day. The channels are from 720 - 747. Each team can be seen on their Regional Sports Network ( NESN is on Ch. 628) however that game will also have two feeds within the 720-750 spectrum.
  5. Proper Moderation??? The moderator of BDC for the last two years ( somehow) was banned from Talksox two years ago. Are you aware of this fact?
  6. I agree with you on that. I just had to give you a synopsis on why BDC was shut down and why so many at the Red Sox Front Burner left in recent years. It became a fraternity unto themselves comprised of Yankee fans, Red Sox haters, and those just there to be entertained daily. John Henry deserves a round of applause for terminating the Red Sox forum. No more from me on this. Thanks for your patience.
  7. Thank you. Had to get that off my chest. Glad to be on a forum with an objective mod who sincerely loves his Red Sox.
  8. I like the format, options available, and intuitive navigation of the forum. I also appreciate that the forum is moderated as every sports site should be. I came from the Boston Globe BDC forums which will be shut down at the end of May. I spent most of my time previously at the Red Sox Front Burner Room. From the start there, about ten years ago, the trolls prevailed and generated the traffic , were embraced and enabled by the forum members, and permitted by those in charge. My nature was to debate them and question their presence in a Red Sox forum. It became apparent that most of then were not indeed Red Sox fans at all. They were only there for entertainment and Internet fraternity / friendship. In effect, it was their daily club meeting to come to whether in retirement or at their do-nothing desk job. Anyway I like this forum and plan to stay here. It is a breath of fresh air and a new beginning. I have been a Red Sox fan since the 1950s and listened to them on the radio for twenty years before they were on cable TV. Watched almost every game on Ch 35, NESN, and satellite TV over the years. Have suffered through all of the huge disappointments and was ecstatic in the WS titles of 2004, 2007, and 2013.
  9. Glad to see that you migrated over here SinceYaz. This seems more like a bar where you can really be a Red Sox fan and not be belittled for doing that. Also more like a bar of Sox fans instead of antagonists. I also liked your posts over at BDC. Hope that you stay here since you are a very likeable person.
  10. Moonslav was the most knowledgeable poster on BDC for ten years and did tons of analysis and presented his opinions with patience, facts, and was a gentleman. He did all of this while cognizant that the BDC Red Sox Front Burner Forum was a fraternity of trolls, those who enabled the trolls, and those who came there only to be entertained instead of being loyal Red Sox fans. I sincerely hope that Moonslav will keep posting about the Red Sox in this new environment like he has done for ten years at BDC. He is indeed a true Red Sox fan who invests much time to his posts and is loyal and sincere.
  11. Kimmi and at least a hundred other good posters left BDC in recent years because a poster named Pumpsie Green, who was banned on this forum last year, somehow became the moderator when BDC did not do their homework.. Pumpsie appointed three other mods who sanctioned a forum where everything goes and their fraternity is more important than sincerity, honesty, and being a real fan of the Sox. Pumsie Green has in recent days started a new forum at a freeforums.net site. Once again he is a moderator of a Red Sox forum yet he posts as if he he hates the Red Sox and is only interested in heading a forum fraternity. The flagship forum of BDC was the Red Sox Front Burner and PumpsieGreen and his co- mods there in the last two years chased away hundreds of potentially good new posters. Newbies were banned without making one post. Pumpsie dictated NO NEW POSTERS. Talksox is indeed smart to have Pumpsie banned. New arrivals from BDC should become acclimated and realize how much better it is here where you need not be a member of a fraternity first and place fan loyalty second.
  12. Well said. I totally concurr.
