  1. 158 Bogey 144 Devers 131 Vaz 131 Moreland 130 JD 113 JBJ 112 Beni 108 Betts 90 Nunez 87 Chavis 73 Pearce
  2. OPS First 17 Games (62 PAs) .350 Next 21 Games (83 PAs) .475 Last 17 games (64 PAs) Not counting today 1.036
  3. Jackie was at .350 on April 19th. .399 on April 27th. .444 on May 15th .511 on May 23rd .552 on May 27th .600 on May 29th .625 after game 1 today (June 8th) .725 from April 20- June 7th (not counting today) 1.036 from May 20- June 7th (not counting today) He sucked so badly before April 20th that his overall OPS still sucks, but I don't get why people are still bashing him.
  4. Plus, we sat Beni just as he was heating up.
  5. I said .700+, and for a GG CF'er, it's not bad. I'm just wondering why people are all over one of our hottest hitters. BTW, the way he's going, he'll end up over .800.
  6. Yes, I agree, but the Warriors have gotten a lot of breaks in the past, and Toronto did lose Vanvleet for a while!
  7. He did get 2 hits with the 2 Ks today.
  8. He's on his way towards another .700+ season and is one of our hottest hitters.
  9. We better start turning things around... ...like NOW!
  10. Called up as the 26th man for the doubleheader. We all thought we were screwed when we had Weber starting a few days ago. Let's stay hopeful.
  11. He's always had a high K rate, and a "hole in his swing," so he's probably been trying to fix it for a long time. He also faced failure in 2015 & 2016- a long stretch: .682 in 471 PAs at Greenville. .684 in 339 PAs at Greenville & Salem With Moreland, Pearce & JD hurt, Chavis will get a chance to fix his swing at the big league level. It's not ideal, but it is what it is. He may get sent down at some point. We'll see, if he can snap out of it soon.
  12. We had pretty good IF depth, but it's hard to overcome several injuries at one position: Pedey, Holt, Lin, Marco and a hobbled Nunez. Plus, Chavis is not a bad 6th option at 2B. I'd say our 2B depth was pretty good, but 4 of them have been on the IL and Nunez cannot play 2B everyday.
  13. Nobody is ignoring the comparison or suggesting we ignore it. Of course, we've thought about how Chavis could become the next Middy. Our issue is about you posting and reposting the comp point to an extreme. Yes, Chavis can become like Middy or even worse. We all know that. The high K rate and comedown off the roids are all red flags. Nobody is saying you are the only one bringing up the comp, but those other links you provided are not printing the comps over a dozen times.
  14. They may not look very scary, but some of those 5 are our hottest hitters. Vaz .871 in his last 85 PAs Nunez .953 in his last 31 PAs (1.194 in last 14 PAs) Travis N/A JBJ 1.036 in his last 64 PAs Leon .762 in his last 41 PAs (1.049 in his last 14 PAs)
  15. The injuries to the Warriors should not taint Leonard's accomplishments. His supporting cast is still not as well known or as good as the remaining healthy Warriors team.
  16. Moreland has missed time and played injured every year with us. He also is known for starting the season out very well and then declining sharply. Depending on how Chavis finishes the season, we may use him at 1B next year and save over $12M (Moreland + Pearce). We also have Dalbec and farther away prospects Dalbec & Casas as options. We could also look to give JD a 1Bman's mitt at some point. I think the talk of moving Devers to 1B is all but over (for now).
  17. Interesting point on getting on base without a hit. JBJ is actually 3rd, but when a guy is 9th in OBP, placing 3rd in this area is pretty telling. (1. His BA is so damn bad at .190 and 2.He gets hit by a pitch a lot. His BB rate is not all that much higher than most of the team.) .163 Betts (45 BB+ 2 HBP/288 PAs) .130 Beni (31+4/269) .129 JBJ (22+5/209) .121 Moreland (22+0/174) .119 Bogey (32+0/270) .117 Chavis (18+3/180) .110 JDM (25+2/245) .090 Devers (23+1/267 .058 Vaz (10+0/172) BB% 15.6 Betts 12.1 Moreland 11.9 Bogey 11.5 Beni 10.5 JBJ 10.2 JD 10.0 Chavis 8.6 Devers 5.8 Vaz 2.7 Nunez
  18. 2019: .541 1st in Line up .943 2nd in Line up And now, he's moved back to first.
  19. Who's Marco? (Sarcasm alert)
  20. 1st Game: Centeno with a tater. Marco Hernandez 2-4 (.848 OPS) 2nd Game: Ockimey with his 14th tater. Tobias with a tater. Mejia 1 IP 5 H 1 BB 5 ER (6.59 ERA) blowing 4-2 lead AA Duran 0-4 J Nunez 4-5 including 3rd tater Tendler & Matheny with taters and 2 hits each. Dalbec 1-3 Thompson 6 IP 3 ER H Smith 3 IP 0 ER and the save A Mata 5 IP 0 ER 2 H 1 BB 5 K
  21. s***** loss tonight. JBJ's OPS went up another .001.
