  1. First place rides on JD's shoulders.
  2. He did with his line drive hit in the 9th.
  3. Load 'em for Verdugo-JD-Bogey-Devers!
  4. Now, it's KIKE's turn to prove he a full timer.
  5. Gotta feel like Chavis knew, if he gets a hit, he stays on the big club, right?
  6. I've never liked how Vaz handles pitchers, but DFA'ing him is insane.
  7. It might seem like that, tonight, but before tonight, the Sox swung at the first pitch 505 times, and took it 1,144 times. I'm not sure how out of whack that is with the league average. BTW, you are right about one thing... .826 OPS swinging at first pitch. .745 OPS took first pitch. Who swings the most? 77 JD 76 Devers 51 Renfroe 46 Vaz 40 Franchy 37 Marwin 36 Verdugo 31 Dalbec & Kike 28 Arroyo 26 Bogey Took first 148 Bogey 137 Verdugo 113 Marwin 106 JD 102 Kike 100 Vaz 98 Calbec 96 Devers 81 Renfroe 55 Cordero 48 Arroyo The Jays have swung at the first pitch 484 times, and took the first pitch 1058 times.
  8. Then, you woke up.
  9. We're 16th in pitches thrown and 17th in IP, so I doubt it.
  10. Bats gotta come back alive.
  11. Since Renfroe should only play vs LHPs, we have Kike, Marwin, Chavis and Santana (assuming he replaced Cordero) to play 2B, CF and LF 2/3 of the time[/b. 4 players for 2.7 positions plus when players rest at 1B, 3B, SS and RF. That's about 3 full positions and enough AB for everyone, especially if they sit Dalbec against some RHPs, as he is struggling mightily vs righties.
  12. Booby Dee really turning things around- and always seems to be when it counts.
  13. The third dbl was on the inside edge of the plate about halfway up the zone. I'm not sure, if that was intended of if that is a place you want to avoid with Grichuck.
  14. So, good pitching doesn't always beat good hitting? (just razzin' ya, Max.)
  15. There goes the no-hitter!
  16. If it was up to me: 1) Brice (DFA) 2) Cordero 3) Chavis Bloom/Cora's likely choice (close call): 1) Cordero 2) Chavis
  17. Steven Matz with a no-no after 1 IP. Keep tuned.
  18. Nice Pinch Hit magic.
  19. True. I missed what was right in front of me.
  20. Best line-up of the year. (Yes, I like Chavis's bat over Arroyo.)
  21. You'd think he could afford a nuclear powered cart to help carry it around.
