  1. It was only about a week ago that Boston Red Sox president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski told reporters that there were no plans for anyone on the roster to have surgery this offseason. Apparently, a lot has changed since then. Eduardo Rodriguez becomes the latest Red Sox player to go under the knife. He joins reliever Robby Scott, who had elbow surgery last week, and Hanley Ramirez, who revealed through his Twitter account on Tuesday that he’s having shoulder surgery. https://bosoxinjection.com/2017/10/17/red-sox-eduardo-rodriguez-will-miss-start-2018-season-knee-surgery/
  2. jonny gomes falls under that. he sucker punched coco.
  3. "there are no plans for anyone on the roster to have surgery"
  4. yup. add him to the list too. (although i actually dont hate him as a color guy)....
  5. "with our season just ending our medical staff is still in the process of evaluating all of our players. As we know, the Major League Baseball season is a long 162 game 6 month grind and we were also fortunate enough to participate in postseason games. With this amount of activity we certainly expect that there may be some instances where a player may need extra rest or possibly a minor surgery to repair any issues. As soon as we know of any specific surgeries that are scheduled we will be sure to pass along this information as appropriate" OR "no surgeries are scheduled"
  6. yes. Giancarlo as DH with HanRam playing 1b is my Christmas wish...
  7. agreed. maybe my wording is off. moreland shouldnt even be a plan. if all other FA options fail...skip moreland entirely and go straight to travis.
  8. agreed. my point was that if DD is thinking to spend $$ on moreland is plan A...forget that and go straight to plan B.
  9. as long as he continues to attend the Yankees clinics in Miami he will be good to go until his body finally gives out from all the extra "protein"....
  10. depends on the fan, i guess. my hate for canseco, price, and lackey didnt change when they donned the B....
  11. if it's H then i would have to say you would need to include B as well. to think Red Sox media and fans dont make a big deal out of anything Red Sox related is just not paying attention to the last oh...100 years or so...
  12. so i am looking for other options. A = liar B = clueless i never said those were the only choices. they were the choices i proposed. no one is offering C or D or E or..... maybe C = doesnt care what he says D = HIPAA E = consumed with Farrel firing and forgot about the 3 pending surgeries to his players F = he has very poor communication skills
  13. my response wasnt even to you. it was to Bell. so ummm...there's that. also, i am not the GM of one of the highest profile baseball teams on the planet. im a poster on a red sox fan forum. so ummm...there's that.
  14. i totally get BB. his answers (or non answers) dont make him look like a fool. well, except for the time he kind of threw TB12 under the bus with the whole "ask him not me" line. on the first day of NFL off season if BB is asked who is expected to have off season surgery and he answers "nobody" and 24 hours 3 Patriots players are under the knife i will call him a liar or clueless. i dont think that will happen. DD on the other hand has proven it over and over again. fool me once....how many times does he need to fool you?
  15. how do you reconcile how he says something and then the exact opposite is what happens? he is either: A) a liar or clueless neither is a very good look for a GM/President of Operations of a MLB Franchise.....
  16. i was only saying travis instead of resigning moreland. to me...moreland does not have the power profile of a 1b either. so why bother with him.... FTR my #1 priority is trading for Giancarlo. my #2 priority is signing JD.
  17. so how are we supposed to figure out when to listen to him and when not to? the dude is a liar. and that's the thing with liars....it's impossible to ever really trust them.
  18. the NYY troll would have us believe the Sox finished far behind the MFY in the AL East last year. reality is we won the AL East with that lineup. go figure.
  19. you are old school. you are NOT stupid.
  20. i am hopeful that betts and xander will have better power numbers than they did in 2017. as far as resigning moreland - if they dont trade/sign one of the big guns - i almost would rather save the $ they would spend on moreland and try travis.
  21. forget advanced metrics and stats. we should still base pitchers value on W-L record only. we should still base fielders value on errors only. we should still base a hitters value on batting average only. MAKE BASEBALL GREAT AGAIN! or, you know....we can get on board with the fact that it's 2017.....either way.
  22. the Boston Red Sox have a budget. spending the most money doesn't always = better product on the field. so I care. Plus your entire case was based on DD not spending money. he spent $ like a housewife in NJ on payroll in Detroit. zero parades.
  23. I think i might. he is responsible for the contract that i predict will go down as the worst contract ever signed (Price). he has not netted us a parade. he has (as predicted) decimated our Farm. if he does his job and obtains Giancarlo all will be forgiven.......
  24. yes. plus and admitted/confirmed Steroid user hit 2 HR's in game 7 that barely cleared the fence. without the aid of PED's they would have been cans of corn and we could have taken our chances vs Marlins.......
