  1. I was thinking this as well. Or part of a package. Like Swihart & Chavis for a set-up or decent MR guy.
  2. Oh yeah??? Tell all that to my agent.
  3. DD can sign me. I’ll follow the team around with a boombox blasting New York, New York and California Love throughout the entire season. Gonna cost him tho and I want multiple years.
  4. alright, that was a good post. touché lol
  5. That bastard!
  6. Not so fast people. Isn’t DD known for blowing it all up after winning a championship as well? (I kid, I kid)
  7. Yeah but cell reception usually sucks. f***ing Sprint. Ignore this.
  8. It’s a fun debate, don’t get me wrong. But they could’ve awarded the WS MVP to Pomeranz for NOT pitching, I’d been fine with it. That’s how irrelevant it is to me. (Sorry Pom)
  9. Mookie robbed a HR (should’ve robbed two if it weren’t for that fan), threw a strike to 2B to nab a runner... Beni made at least 3 great to unbelievable and crucial catches. JBJ made plays. One sticks out for me was him running all the way to damn near 2B to rob a hit. He’s the glue that holds it all together and makes tough catches look easy, to a fault. Our Out Field shined this post season and I’m glad they got the opportunity to show what they can do on the big stage.
  10. Awards & trucks are just part of the noise. I can actually see Pearce as one of the few guys on the team that could probably get some use out of that Chevy. I’m fine with it. Price got his bragging rights back, silenced the haters, that’s better than any award or truck, and good for him too.
  11. Not to totally throw out individual performances, but our OF defense especially the first 2 series I think REALLY set the tone. Instilled a lot of confidence for our entire pitching staff throughout. Our staff minimized the long ball as much as they could. I think it also sent a message to the top 2 HR hitting teams in the league this year that we had to face. The Yanks & Dodgers really did HAVE to hit HRs to have a chance because they weren't gonna get much else.
  12. Eovaldi’s performance was truly inspiring. After that game (Muncy’s walk off) I still felt 70% ok & confident about the next game later that day. I’m mean, if a 7 hr & 20 min 18 inning game is what it’s going to take to beat these Red Sox? Have at it. Of course losing a game like that for most teams, there’s always a chance that that could wind up being some sort of turning point in the series. This team just recovers quickly, all year. They play ‘til the end. 2 strikes. 2 outs. All year. If the game isn’t over yet, I like our chances. When I heard that Cora held a club house meeting of some sorts to congratulate Eovaldi after the loss and the team applauded him and his outstanding effort, my confidence level went back to 100%.
  13. Understanding the reality that it’s only possible for one team to win a World Series every year and that the rest can go suck it. I’m sure a lot of competitive teams don’t get what they pay for. It comes with the territory and it goes without saying, right?
  14. Took ‘em 10 innings to walk off. Probably the only real home field advantage in these playoffs was having last ups in a tie/close game. I felt the odds of that happening was inevitable as time went on. I just wish it happened earlier because that game really f***ed-up my sleep cycle.
  15. The Celtics are usually a fun watch.
  16. If I had to pick one player as the entire post season MVP on the whole... damn. It might be Joe Kelly.
  17. For me personally, this championship is not just the apex of the 2018 season. It dates back years. I’ll keep it simple and say it dates back to 2013 and Xander Bogarts’ contributions and realizing that he was the first step in building this core. The first blip on the radar. Then came JBJ and Mookie, Beni, Devers graduating over the following seasons (I repeat, I’m highlighting and keeping this plain and simple). By many they’ll be remembered for 2018. But most of us on here... we know better. In every way conceivable, we’ve all fussed, fitted, fighted, and obsessed over every aspect, every crossed t and dotted i this last half decade (and more) over this particular team. There was never any guarantee. And they did it. They got it done. Congratulations to these Red Sox. Congratulations to everyone on here, friend or foe. I hesitate to talk about the future. I just want to let this soak-in and enjoy this for a while.
  18. What I miss?? Was there a game on last night.. er something?
  19. That’s fine. It’s just not how I took it. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I want to change my final score for tonight‘s game. 62-3 Red Sox
  20. Unbelievable stop. Unbelievable throw to 1B. I rank it up there with all the great OF plays we've seen this post-season by our Sox. It’s the type of play that makes you reevaluate what you previously thought, sure. Don’t sleep on Sloth, bro.
  21. Sure but... he looked absolutely defeated to me. And at the time was still winning. Take it how you want.
  22. Ummm... Yup. I’ve skipped lunches too. A lot of heavy labor as well. So you’re right. Apples to apples doesn’t come close.
  23. The thing with Puig’s reaction(s) had me a little baffled. When Moreland hit his 3 run shot, LAD were actually still ahead by one run. Puig was still in the OF and acted like the game was over. Like Dave Chapelle once said “ That’s some brittle-ass spirit”.
