Still just averaging just over 1 a game seems low. I would have thought an average of at least 1.5 per game.

Is this site right? It shows us as one of the teams to hit into the lowest amount of double plays this year. It sure doesn't seem like it. https://www.teamrankings.com/mlb/stat/double-plays-per-game

Heck, our pen is actually fun to watch. We have some fireballers in the pen. This year is so strange. Xander is a great hitter for sure. But I never was all that interested in watching him bat. This year he's a can't miss at bat for me. I guess I just want to see how pitchers try to get him out and how he eventually slaps the ball somewhere. I never would have thought watching the bullpen and seeing Xander at bat would be something that draws me to watch.

We are middle of the pack in runs scored in the ALE, 7th I beleive. And I think 3rd in runs allowed. This team could do what they have been doing and tread water and may get into the WC spot. If two of the following of E-Rod, Price, or Porcello get rolling and are healthy, we can stay in contention. If the batting gets two clicks better...... we move to first. But yea, a big stick would be nice. Or if Hanley could just get his head out of his ass. I think their is a lot of parity going on in the ALE. Every team just isn't that good or at least has major holes. Houston with the execption, and even then if they were in the ALE things would be different. But damn....... this season is just so hard to watch these games...... some of them are like having a root canal..

I'm pretty sure we all lose our s*** from time to time in the game thread. We should have a new rule. What happens in the game thread, stays in the game thread.... This place is the closest thing many of us have to hanging out in a bar talking about the game and the Sox with other Sox fans....
