  1. Was ready about Kelly walking around Fenway during his suspension. He stopped in a few different places around the park watching the game. The Sox started scoring run at one location, he thought it was good luck he was there and stayed there the rest of the game. Superstition. http://scores.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/23360975/suspended-boston-red-sox-reliever-joe-kelly-sits-fans-bleachers-fenway-park Wondering if any of you superstitions? I still never wan't to say a pitcher is having a good game, or so and so it hot at the plate. It always seems to end up on the wrong side...
  2. Throw about 4 losses in recently where we let up 4 runs or less. I'd say the offense better get their crap together before the pitching.
  3. What's crazy was Nunez was a wrecking ball last year. That dude like single handedly saved our ass and maybe the season in how hot and clutch he was. I want old Nunez back.
  4. Semi fugly........ but I'll take the win. Porcello looking really good.
  5. ahahahah...yea
  6. Sit em down Kibrell....
  7. Holy crap that was horrible.....
  8. Hell Yea!!!!!!!!
  9. That's trouble....
  10. lol. Thanks for the random drive by from a yank fan.
  11. Lived in three other US cities and 2 other countries before I landed in Austin Texas, where I am now. Did the west coast thing for about 6 years in San Francisco, loved the place.
  12. I'm looking forward to Tampa leaving Boston shortly.
  13. Same story here. Haven't lived in the East Coast in decades. Here to chat with people who are equally obsessed.
  14. I thought they were joking around. Maybe not at the end with the ump. But Hanley yelling explatives after a swinging strike isn't anything new.
  15. What up Sox75? Lots of new people on the board, that usually happens when another board closes. You come over from another board?
  16. Yea it was. Always nice to see Porcello get out of the first unscathed also.
  17. That's pretty awesome. I already know I'll never forget that quote in my lifetime that's so good.
  18. That's a good one. There was another quote by a player that played two sports, and they asked him why he didn't play baseball or move to playing baseball. And he said something like he didn't have the will power to get fat enough or something like that.......
  19. I'm torn. I would think it would be maybe more needed stretching. But my guess is that the team makes the players stretch out extensively. It's nothing new nowadays to know that to keep a player on the field they would need a good stretching routine. I'm guessing, but I woulld think the Sox coaches monitor that. Personally Holt looks good to me. Looks like he added some weight and some of it muscle. Gaining some fat with muscle pretty much comes with the territory. And I beleive most of these guys lose weight during the season. You know the crazy part of this. During the first few games one announcer mentioned Benni put on 15 pounds. A human only can add at most about 2 pounds of muscle a month. Say he had 5 months of off season, gained 10 pounds of muscle, 6 pounds of fat.
  20. I'm not sure why we aren't considering that Holt is pregnant. Cramps, bloating, looks like he is a few months pregnant. Maybe he's knocked up...
  21. Have you actually watched a season of baseball before? I mean no one who has actually watched more than a couple of season acts this spazzed out. Holy crap are you annoying....... you are pink hat material at best with your spazzed out, why don't we win every game crap. Glad you love you home team, but it doesn't give you a "pass go and get out of being stupid" card.
  22. Well played sir, well played.
  23. and I was worried Xander would come back and struggle. Good to see him start out strong out of the gate.
  24. It's been overruled, and not called an error on the books. I don't see any outfielder being able to play a ball that takes a crazy bounce like that, no one would have predicted that.
