It's good to turn on the game to a score like this.

That's what I was thinking when they put him in. I forget the exact situation, but it was a close game and we really could have used the run. He already looked shell shocked being up in the majors. Why put the pressure on him like that. Heck, a seasoned vet would feel pressure to do something in that situation. Moncada came up and blew it. It's not like everyone in the world hasn't had a chance to prove themselves, blew it, it snowballed out of control, and walked away saying "damn, I'm better than that". What we saw from him so far means very little I believe. He got a good look at a MLB curve, and now knows a little more about himself than he did before.

From the angle we get to watch with the camera behind the pitcher, I always can see if it is a curve or not before it does. I'm pretty sure we all do. We all have the angle. I thought that thing was a fastball until is darted left. I was totally fooled. That was a sick pitch.

Follow up question. Would you burn Zig if this was a game about 22 games away from the finish against the opponent you think has the most chance of beating you to win the ALE Championship?

I dig it........ I figured he could burn a good arm on this one and get him some work. Would you burn Zig if this was a three game playoff series though?

We could really use Koji at 100% for this playoff run..... I'm calling good call on Farrell using him tonight in this situation and now throwing him into the fire..... I also guess we are seeing what we have with him.....

OK, so we're burning Koji in the ninth now too. And the announcers just said they wanted to give Koji another shot with no pressure to get him back to feeling good and confident. I get that...... Zig last pitched Wed. I think I might have held him till tomorrow. It's a toss up between E-Rod and Buchholtz on who will have a better outing.....
