    You all should try living in time zones where watching a Sox game is almost impossible unless you are a vampire. Especiallly a decade ago before MLB TV or internet had recaps of b-ball................ or even living and working and talking with people who couldn't care less about anything you say about the Sox and how they are doing.......

    The think that frustrates me most about E-Rod is that I could see him being a really good pitcher. Like a solid number 2. When I heard the reason the Balt let him go......... just taints my thoughts about him....

    I do have to say that E-Rod always looks like the most relaxed pitcher I've seen pitch in a while..... he goes about things very ho-hum

    Cool thread MVP about when you became a Sox fan....... We all have been through a grind with this team. I'm sure there isn't one person on here that doesn't bleed Sox. I love hearing other peoples stories about the Sox, and their history..... anyway.... cool thread MVP....

    My grandfather was an immigrant, he couldn't speak much English. But my earliest years I remember about the Sox were him listening to them on the radio anytime they were on. My father watched every game he could. I made it to Fenway for the first time when was about 10. So 1982. I got to meet Luis Tiant and got an autograph. My sister who was there just couldn't beleive what a nice and personable person he was. I started collecting cards when I was young. At first I didn't care about any other teams players, the goal of the year would be to collect the entire Sox team cards. I remember the exact moment when my Dad told me George Scott was traded........ I cried like crazy.....

    Exactly. That signing really didn't sit well with me at all. I guess in general I should just be pissed as Hanley for being a total wuss...... But the Moreland signing to me was like putting 100 dollar tires on a Ferrari.........

    I don't even think Farrell calls a bad game, or writes up a lineup all that bad. It's just when you have major talent, you need to know how to win. I think there are other managers that could do that better than Farrell. I swear. If this team was a low paid, struggling franchise with the players we have now...... I think we would be in first...

    I watched Moreland down here in TX for a long time. He's aweful. He's great two times a year, and then just dissapears...... He wasn't the answer for a big stick in the lineup.

    Napoli was another possibility. And he has been horrific back in TX.

    His answer for that was a great rotation and bullpen....... unfortunately THorn, Smith and Price are no where to be seen. I'm done with Farrell......... I really think another manager could get more out of this team....

    Both Lean and Vazquez confuse me. Their average looks ok, and when I see them up a bat I think they are going to suck. Then somehow they get a hit..... THey are like a mirage....... I have no idea what to think of them.......
