  1. Yea, Austin is alright. It's changed a lot even over the just 10 years I've been here. That's cool you're going to see a UT game. There is some epic tailgating when they are in town, you wouldn't have to walk more than 10 feet before someone offered you some BBQ.
  2. That's an amazing area. I lived in the financial district, then Little Manila (forget the town name), then Walnut Creek, then the last few years right between the Chinese and Tenderloin and Union Square. I could hear the cable cars at my apartment, I think it was Bush street. I left SF in 2002 or 2003, so I was there when you were. I had a blast living there, and although it wasn't the Red Sox, it was fun to be around the A's and the Giants at the time.
  3. 47, a dude, living in Austin TX. Haven't lived in my home town of Portlant Maine for more than 20 years. I was in San Franciso when Bonds went ape s*** on homers. Got cheap tickets to A's games when they were good and had an amazing pitching staff. Didn't watch any Boston games as it wasn't on TV, but I was a box score fiend. Landed in Japan, found out about MLB.TV streaming. Many a weekend I'd watch live games on the weekend. Watched the World Series ending in 2004 in a bar that was empty other than the owner of the company I worked for, he was a huge sports fan and gave me that time off. The dude is a legend and I need to thank him again sometime soon.
  4. Get Sale in there and ask for a 2 for 1 surgery special so we have money for some starting pitchers.
  5. ahahah, I love the Mighty Mouse quote.
  6. I'm asking, are non essential operations put on hold in all the USA, or just in certain areas. If just certain areas I wouldn't see why them flying to a non hot zone to do the operation would be an issue.
  7. There are hospitals that are not strained yet. Austin just mentioned that the hospitals weren't. I wonder if the couldn't fly somewhere where the hospitals are not hit yet? Not sure if doctors can do that or have to be registered with certain hospitals.
  8. Lol. I'll take my chances with a virus. Probably more than a 50 percent chance of me in the ER from attempting a Olympic gymnast floor routine.
  9. These people flip like 4 or 5 times just launching themselves in the air from a running start. I seriously have no idea what I'm watching, but it seriously blows my mind. New Talksox challenge, let's all try one of these running jumps and then report back how it went.
  10. Maybe weighing a buck 60 at 6 foot tall and violent arm delivery should have been a factor. The red flags were there.
  11. This gal aint to bad also.
  12. I have no idea what i'm watching when I'm watching this, but it's jaw dropping material for me.
  13. A video to introduce you to "The Sox medical team"
  14. Re-watch the scene on youtube, it's brilliant. Watery tart throwing scimitars and people being oppressed. And coconuts and stuff.
  15. ahahah, there's some lovely filth down here Dennis. Great scene. ....... A SHRUBBERY
  16. AHAHAH. I had to look that one up, can't believe I forgot it. Too many great quotes from that movie. My favorite for a while was the enchanter talking about the bone structure and fangs of the cute little bunny.
  17. No seriously. That may be my favorite line from that movie.
  18. On Sex Toys I bet.
  19. Totally. Last year was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. But the hangover is hurting.
  20. You guys are ok with a 22 mil a year DH?
  21. He's def a player I would count on. Good luck to that.
  22. Plus 6 mil gets you a washed up crack addict who's been in jail longer than in MLB. Worth a shot, but not worth much of a shot.
