  1. I think it's pretty clear by the context and what you said that you were enjoying the idea of me becoming a drug addict, living with my mother and ODing. Have you ever considered seeing a psychiatrist? Those are some seriously messed up fantasies.
  2. The only position on the bench that's thin is 3B. We've got the best backup catcher in baseball, we've got Brock and Ciriaco competing for the middle infield. We've got Nava, Carp and Overbay competing for first. No need to call Bradley up to begin the season. We're better off letting him play full time in the minors, at least until we delay his arbitration clock another year.
  3. You have some serious personal issues you need to work out if you're hoping someone OD's and dies because you're upset with what they said on an internet forum. That goes well beyond the difference in how many screen names I got banned on versus how many screen names you've gotten banned on. Go ahead, take another 15 minutes to try to rationalize that one.
  4. One of us makes passive aggressive jabs at virtually every other poster on this forum, then plays the victim when they get called out on it and engages in flame wars until it's time for a nap or an admin steps in and threatens to temp ban them again. The other one says it like it is and doesn't care if they get banned because these mods are completely inept and preventing me from keeping me from coming back. I'd much rather be the person who tells it like it is then the whiney, passive aggressive bitch of the forum.
  5. And I love watching you get so upset about an internet forum because it gives me the opportunity to see what being a miserable old man must be like.
  6. Having multiple screen names makes someone delinquent now, does it Mr. Rivernator? That explains why you gave such detailed descriptions of what it's like to be a junkie.
  7. If being banned on multiple screen names on this web site makes you a low life, then what does that make you Mr. Rivernator? Oh, but you play by different rules where you're a doctor and Austin Romine is the next Russell Martin in his prime.
  8. Why would I have spent any time in jail doogie howser? P.S. - Emptying bedpans does not make you a doctor.
  9. His stock may have fallen because he already passed up first round money when the Cardinals tried to sign him out of high school. I'm glad we have a high pick this year and not a bunch of sandwhich picks, this is one of the weakest drafts we've had in a while.
  10. The Sox will take Wilson if he falls to them. He has the kind of potential Westmoreland had before his brain surgery and the Sox love smart players.
  11. Where do you think Cano will hit in the Dodgers lineup? I want to say third the middle of that lineup's going to be pretty crowded with Cano, Gonzalez and Kemp.
  12. Would I be cooler if I pretended to be a doctor on the internet? Oh please help me be cool like you!
  13. I agree, that's why I'm amazed at the concentration of such people on this site.
  14. Near elite defense? He's had a UZR in the negatives four the of the last five seasons and has a -30 UZR for his career. Even if you cherry pick the two years in his career in which he had a UZR in the positives (and anyone who understands UZR knows that you can't look at it in one year sample sizes) he's never had a season in which his UZR was better than 5th highest compared to other second basemen. His defense is average at best.
  15. In other words, there is no 7 year/171 million contract, a writer simply suggested there be one.
  16. You children are now comparing 2004's rotation to a rotation that's yet to pitch an inning? Sure, argue about that for another week or two. Quality discussion per usual here.
  17. Who's going to replace Granderson? The .244/.286/.375 hitting Juan Rivera? The .222/.280/.333 hitting Matt Diaz? Or maybe he 2 MLB at bat Melky Mesa who's hit .244/.315/.436 in the minors? Pick your poison.
  18. Classic jackoff comment! Projecting major league ability on what he had hoped a prospect was headed towards if he developed a skill he's never displayed. Let's take a look at his actual numbers compared to jackoff's projection at the major league level. AA - .276/.336/.392 AAA - .197/.267/.342 Jackoff's Wishful Thinking at MLB - .290/.360/.400 Truly magical.
  19. I haven't seen that 7/171 figure anywhere, if it's true it's better than what I thought the Yankees would offer Cano. He's looking for $200 million though and he'll probably get it in free agency. If the Yankees lower their offer from 7/171 (if they ever offered that at all) then there's no chance he'll return. Boras doesn't give discounts to teams because they've already met their bad contract quota. This is a lose/lose for the Yankees, either they pay Cano $25 million a year through age 38+ or they lose their best player.
