  1. And they let Sheets go, back when he was ace caliber. Of course if I remember right he was a injury risk even back then.
  2. Hey Doc! When when is the fantasy tracker feature available, tab will it be under?
  3. I have it and love it, for 20 bucks more you can catch every game on your portable devices or XBOX360/PS3. Anyway, I got home from the docs today and went to load it up on my PS3 to watch today's ST games in HD on the big screen. When I went to start it up, it said I had to upload the latest software and install, to watch it. I did so, but now when it goes to load, the loading screen itself appears scrambled, and when that disappears it stays a black screen. Six hours later and it's still doing the same thing anybody here have this problem? I contacted MLB.TV customer service, but have not heard anything back from them yet. In order to watch the Sox I have to have this service, and with 5 days (including today) left until opening day, this couldn't have happened at a worse time. Anybody have any ideas what might be going on?
  4. I'd take Dempster over Loshe for that money anyday, not to mention I find Ryan to be more consistently dependable then Kyle.
  5. Thanks seabeachfred.
  6. As much as I love me some Youk, (still got love for him even if he is sporting Yankee pinstripes now) he has started down the road to a pretty steep decline. His BA. has completely fallen off a cliff the last 2 seasons (yes he was injured, but when has Youk ever not had to play through a series of nagging injuries.) And his plate vision has deteriorated fairly drastically as well, causing his walks to drop off, while still striking out over 100 times in each of the last 2 seasons. In only 120 games played in 2011 he had 100 K's and 2012 in 122 games played striking out 108 times with only 51 walks. While also sporting a .235 avg in 438 AB's. The time was right for the Sox to cut Youkilis loose, just noticed the Yankee's pounced on Overbay as soon as we cut him. Guess they plan on using him to try and plug the hole Tex, is gonna be leaving for awhile at 1B.
  7. Hey man, I registered over at BDC almost a week ago, and still haven't received a confirmation/activation e-mail, and I'm still not even allowed to view the forum. Does it normally take this long for admins too activate accounts over there?:dunno:
  8. So I'm the only admitted hopeless sap aka "pollyanna" here huh...Oh well I were it as a badge of honor.
  9. I try to "keep it real" by not bullshitting others about the Sox (honest) prospects, but ultimately I'm a big ass pushover when it comes how I'll allow myself to convince myself "that it will all work out, and things will fall into place just right for the boys when they've just about run out of time for a resurgence to matter..." If you couldn't understand a word of that lol, basically I'm objective and honest when discussing the Red Sox with others, but wear the rose-colored glasses while blowing smoke up my own ass when it comes to being honest with myself. Range between 6 thru 1...mainly 1 as I love the Red Sox wholeheartedly :ortiz:
  10. Is this forum usually this dead? There's hardly any traffic going through here, and from what I can tell the daily posts this board does receive come from the same few people everyday. Is this the norm?
  11. Honestly I'm expecting good things to come this year! However I do believe, if the club want to contend for the wild card I believe they are going to have to upgrade Salty by the second half. I really believe he's gonna be a huge liability behind the plate by then.
  12. Same here, when I finally got to see the last out of Game 4 of the WS, I jumped out of my seat and screamed (even though it was on tape and I had already been celebrating because I had heard the outcome from the next shift coming in after me.) Anyways, I jumped up screamed, and then fell into a strange silence, a weird sort of disbelief and just remember thinking to myself, there really are no words that I could think of that would have been proper for such a unbelievable moment. I also remember having the distinct feeling, that somehow Red Sox fans all around the country were just as bewildered as myself. Almost as if I could picture millions of fans letting out a initial yelp of joy, and then falling deathly silent almost in a shared state of shock
  13. BAM! Hands down one of the top 3 posts in this entire thread. Spot on homey
  14. Lol, that is fantastic! I remember I was working nights at the time so I missed the whole series (live that is, had the VCR programed), however spoilers were a foregone conclusion. I was working as a cabinetmaker att ALCS, Game 4, I was screaming at the top of my lungs jumping up and down on my table, and rolling down the mainline conveyer. And that was just at the news of the Sox pulling off the never done before miracle! I went home and watched the game I had taped, and got smashloaded and streaked down the halls of my apartment building naked! Now I'm from Illinois (so not alot of Boston Red Sox fans here, just Cubs, Cards & a few scattered Yankee fans) so not many shared my enthusiasm lol.
  15. Sums up Ellsbury as a player perfectly, he just seems so frail. One things for sure, if he doesn't put up a MVP caliber year, he will end up with the same kind of consideration Bourne got and Loshe is getting. This time next year Jaco might just be a player without a team.
  16. He has been such a pain in the ass for so long too Red Sox fans, it's not gonna be the same without him out their closing the show. Not that that's a bad thing.
  17. A few years ago, why not. Today, not so much.
  18. Lackey has looked really good so far from what I've seen of him.
  19. Hey y'all converted from Met's fan to RedSoxNation in 86', but this will be the first year I get to watch all the Red Sox games, as I live in Illinois, and this is my first season purchasing MLB.TV! Just wanted to say hey y'all, and I really look forward to a amazing year of Red Sox baseball!! :ortiz:
