  1. Been saying it since the trade Kelly was a good get, and will be a solid 3rd/4th starter for us.
  2. That was retarded might as well have left Kelly in for the bunt, as he has a ton more experience at it.
  3. The last time I saw him pitch as a Card, he started getting bombed by the Padres around the 7th (or 100 pitches) in Petco Park.
  4. We good, although somebody that has Ferrell's ear needs to go tell him, it's time to get Kelly out of there now. Now matter how good he's going, Kelly implodes if you pitch him past the 6th inning. He'll do a strong 6 try to send him out for the 7th, and the wheels will usually fall off.
  5. Told you guys when the trade was made Kelly was a good get, their is a reason why a baseball crazy town like The Lou loves him, kid is a battler. What is with our power bats, it's likely nobody but Papi can drive it past the warning track.
  6. Bogey crushed that one, lets hope it's the start of him getting his bat back on track...Now all he has to do is work on getting the ball to 1st base after he makes a slick diving play.
  7. It was a rocket of a shot hard to fault Holt, when Headley was just in the right place at the right time and made a great play.
  8. God damnit that should've been a win and a series win tonight f*** you Bucholz you greasy piece of s***!
  9. Why couldn't they have added Buch to any of the trades they made at the deadline? Nothing i more depressing then watching 2 separate 3 run blown by this f*** face, I pray he's not on the team next season.
  10. You're f***ing stupid.
  11. I like the trade, I can see a change of scenery being just what Craig needed to get his bat going again. Playing half his games in hitter friendly Fenway, should be good for his production in his rebound year. I'm from Illinois so I've seen Kelly pitch numerous times, and he's a good pitcher, he has a great fastball (95 mph and can even hit 98 on the radar gun) he's a full decade younger than Lackey and a cost efficient 3rd or 4th starter in the rotation. Plus he's a great clubhouse guy, he's one of most Card fans fav players. Most are extremely upset he was moved for Lackey. We got a good deal guys.
  12. Thanks homey.
  13. I'd like too see the FO give WMB one more year to prove himself before they go and try to trade him. I still see that power hitting star in him that should breakout at any time, if he can remain healthy throughout the upcoming season then this should be it. Honestly I just hate the idea of trading such a potential awesome power bat away, for a average pitching prospect, WMB is more valuable than that imo.
  14. I really hope we keep him, I don't have a whole lot of confidence in JBJ at the plate as a everyday CF.
  15. I wouldn't touch Buchholz and would leave Peavy alone until he at least got got 10 starts too see what he has next year. Dude's a warrior he could come back to his Cy Young form next season.
  16. f***ing Cardinal fans are already coming with the "Good job Boston, way to buy yourself a World Series Championship." crap. Cherington made fantastic moves, but he hardly went out and pulled a Yankee/Dodger/Angel or hell even a Met or Rangers act. He made the right moves, and the majority of the time got the most out of those acquisitions, hell he traded away of 2 players with more star name power in Crawford and Gonzalez then anybody he picked up. I swear to god I'm surrounded by Cardinal fans, and f*** are they a bunch of crybabies.
  17. Kicked the Cardinals asses in the WS for the second time in 9 years! LOL I f***ing love it, I live in Cardinal country, this next week is going to be so much fun as I'm going to rub it in every one of those motherf***ers faces! The bunch of cocky pricks, won 500 bucks tonight on 5 separate 100 dollar bets, champs baby, champs!!!
  18. I just want Bailey to finally get healthy, and come back pitching like he was before the biceps strain. I can't stand Hanrahan, imo he's not cut out to be a American League West closer. I'd say they should see what they can get for him now, but I can't see the market being to welcoming for a guy with 2 blown saves out of 6 tries and given up 4 HR's, 8 ER's, 10 hits, 6 walks plus already one 15 day DL stint in only 7 1/3 innings pitched. :dunno:
  19. Damnit Bailey. He was doing so well, and then BAM! Phantom biceps pain out of nowhere...
  20. You're right I got a little carried away, and a lot ridiculous. That guy and his curt matter-of-fact attitude really annoys the piss out of me. I'll just ignore his pompousness from now on.
  21. :thumbdown I really don't have any patience for you, family comparisons are extremely prevalent in baseball and football. When 1 father or older brother is really good, the younger sibling or son always comes with certain expectations. The same comparisons or bad rep also applies to players who underachieved or known for injury. It's this way in any walk of life, not just sports, I can't believe I had to explain that to you. It's called being a legacy, and that legacy can be good or bad. "J.D. ain't Stephen, Stephen ain't J.D." Well no s*** Sherlock, don't be so literal it's annoying. You can take your best available option and stick it, 9 mil for a broken player is a stupid deal (Drew seen them coming apparently.) You do know what I meant by "he seen them coming", or do I have to explain that one to you as well.
  22. Yes I did, why in gods name sign a guy, who hasn't done s*** since his injury for so much money, when he hasn't proven reliable since. Scratch that, why sign another Drew brother, for way to much money, who has only ever been "just okay" and now at 30 will be spending most of his time on the Drew-abled List made famous by his older bro. Seriously, for all the talent and potential J.D. (supposedly) had all I can really recall about the majority of his career was his being injured. Not Gold Gloves or batting titles, just injured missing huge gaps of playing time, time and time again. Do you really want to take a risk for so much money on a player whose families track record has proven so crappy, especially when all indications so far show Stevie going down the same road. The warning signs were there, what was the FO thinking?
  23. That's exactly what I stated in the OP, but you didn't agree back then :dunno:
  24. He played 86 games and batted .252 with 74 K's in 321 AB's in 2011, and 79 games batting .223 with 76 K's in 287 AB's in 2012. To sum up, his last 2 seasons he's missed almost half and over half of each year, while striking out 150 times in 608 total at bats, and batting a cool .237. I wouldn't call that healthy throughout, and definitely not a above average hitter. Oh he also has a mind blowing 2 hits and 5 K's in 16 AB's for a cool .125 BA. That must be some more of that above average hitting you keep talking about. Dude had 1 real decent year back in 08', he's licked balls or been injured since. This is not "making s*** up" either, it's right there in black and white on his career stats page.
