  1. Does anyone really think that SF will give him for Ellsbury? I know they need offense but at the end of the day it was pitching that won them the WS. I don't think they let go their best and youngest pitcher for anyone. I'd take Sanchez though. Not for Ellsbury though of course.
  2. I think it does require it. Especially if the rumors about Youk and Jacoby are true. To change the culture requires new leadership and new faces. In my opinion it's veteran guys like Youk, Beckett etc are the guys that have shaped this culture. Maybe because they are comfortable who really knows. For me it's time for Pedy and Ellsbury to be leaders.
  3. Just to clarify, I'm hoping he is not apart of this cancer. The above mentioned incidents are something I didn't think was good. But as a whole I hope he isn't. I agree with you on having Salty's back but interrupting your manager when he is addressing the media (the guy that has everyone's back, the one who takes the fall for everyone is not on in my opinion. There is a place and time). To question his decisions too is a big thing in my opinion. Especially in this media market. Stiring the pot.
  4. Not me. Not after that press conference.
  5. Really? So interrupting your manager during a press conference to complain about a RBI screams team player to you? Question his manager about Aceves is another thing.
  6. I'm seriously hoping ownership are as unforgiving with the playing group, especially the problem ones as they were with Tito. That remains to be seen.
  7. There are reports of it already. Although nothing official. But honestly would it suprise you?
  8. Maybe not all of it, but in some way shape or form he is gone. As go as far as saying there will be riot if he is still here next season. I think Ownership are aware of how the fans feel about the whole Tito situation and I think they try and win some respect back from the fans by shipping Lackey. Just my opinion though.
  9. I'm hoping as far away from Boston as possible.
  10. You'd think they would have resigned him by now then? Soria or as high risk high reward maybe K- Rod.
  11. I disagree about Lackey. He's done. I'll be surprised if he is pitching here next year.
  12. If Bard becomes a starter, who becomes the setup/closer? I'm hoping we keep Paps and he does either of them. But who would we target if they do try Bard in the rotation. Heath Bell? I've heard people say use Aceves but I disagree.
  13. Wonder if Billy Beane would be keen on Youk + prospect/s for either Gio or at a stretch Anderson.
  14. So am I the only that thinks Youks is part of the problem and is someone we need to try and deal?
  15. Glad you weren't serious. The fact of the matter is Tek is "supposed" to be the "captain" and he obviously could not do much to prevent the clubhouse issues as the "captain". So I have huge doubts about him managing this group.
  16. Great post, agree with most points. It's all speculation and this is just my opinion. I strongly believe Youk, Beckett, Lackey and maybe are to blame. I'm not convinced about Tek and I believe with Wake, it was more Tito's loyalty to him to get that win, plus let's face it we didn't have many other options. What is being rumoured is astounding. Beer drinking in the clubhouse during the season?? These guys are professionals. For me that is something veteran guys start and believe they can get away with it. It's the same when your in a job for a few years, maybe you become complacent as push the boundaries. Tito realized what was going on, tried to stop it but he was too late and now he has payed the price. If it's me, and the above players are the problem I try my hardest to deal them. Keep Pedy and Jacoby, the guys who care as the cornerstone.
  17. Does anyone know if the Cards are going to exercise Wainwright's option for next season?I believe there was stipulation in his contract about being on the DL at the end of the season or something to do with TJ surgery they could release him.
  18. Obviously the rumors about the dis-unity in the clubhouse are true. If these group of players really respected Tito after the last 8 years, they would have taken some accountability and marched into ownership as a unit and declared Tito should stay. Who knows what good it would have done as I believe ownership had their mind made up well before September as they surely would exercised his options then.
  19. If Tito goes there is no way Theo survives this.
  20. Decision on Monday im hearing. IMO, they know the backlash they might get out of this decision and maybe they taking the weekend. However the body language that Tito was displaying yesterday in the press conference didnt look good.
