  1. Funny how little things kill a rally. Aviles should never have swung at the first pitch in his last at bat. Had never seen that pitcher. No idea what he would throw. Swung at a ball to boot. Had he gotten ahead he might have been able to at least put the ball in play and get us another run.
  2. Damn could have been warming up the fat lady.
  3. C'mon Kalish 2 strikes....show me somethin here
  4. Hot damn.....it looks like a baseball team again!
  5. Get it back guys...don't care we are up 5-2. About time this team got tough. I want to see them respond every damn time somebody scores on them. Morales has pitched terrific tonight. His own mental errors are causing problems for him but I still can't believe his motion and the way he is throwing. It would not be a total surprise if he was not that tired. He is throwing with what appears to be such a natural motion and the ball is just exploding at the plate.
  6. Not having seen enough of him to know what has been behind his control problems, I wonder if the way he has settled into this motion is key for Morales. I commented earlier that I have never seen the ball flowing out of his hand like this...certainly not in any of his relief appearances. Many times in relief he is pitching out of the stretch right away. But the ball is just flowing out of his hand and you can tell it is going where he is aiming it.
  7. Wow...Franky Morales where have you been.....What the f*** is up with this guy? Talk about sneakin' up on us. "Oh well I am just going to wait a bit. They will eventually get around to asking me to start...hell they eventually ask everybody to start (te-he)."
  8. Well pumps....these days ya' know the Sox are having a good night when Agons has an RBI. Pedey has hit the ball well. The rest of the damage has come from the usual suspects of late, meaning the Pawston Red Sox. WMB has been a monster. Morales is pitching very very well.
  9. Interviewing Jurrjens...if we were just patient with him last night we would probably be working on a sweep of this series.
  10. Holy s***....WMB.....at this rate they are going to walk him as soon as they see him in the on deck circle.
  11. Boy did the shift ever work there. I have to admit I sorta' hate the shift whether it works for us or not. Just hate seeing it used against our guys and have them crush one right into the damn thing an out. Ortiz has done a great job of beating the shift that they put on him.
  12. Funny how the one thing that has not changed with Agons in the middle of this monster slump is that he can still hit into DP's with the best of them. Speaking of the DP...Morales picks a good time to throw one.
  13. Pedey...Pedey..Pedey....that was a good job of hitting the baseball there...that is without a doubt the most encouraging thing I have seen from him in weeks...maybe he is healed after all. Man would that be good news. Have to see how he handles heat.
  14. That almost looked a little like Nava took a lesson from the Schoppach school of getting hit.
  15. Where did all this smooth flowing action come from with Morales. He never looked this smooth in relief.
  16. Don't be to surprised if WMB gets some runway. Sox fans basically gave CC the entire season last year.
  17. Way to respond Red Sox....PC when the Braves had already put up a run would have been a pyrrhic victory. Needed to come right back and score....very encouraging.
  18. An Agons RBI....Miracles still happen.
  19. Good piece of hitting by Salty there. C'mon Sox get the run back.
  20. Sox have started out much more patient tonight than last night. Beardless Pedey gets the base hit. Shoot wish we knew that is all it would take
  21. Had to call on that change right away tonight and it really bailed him out. Looks like Pedey shaved the beard...change of something I guess...maybe a change at the plate
  22. Morales working out of his own jam....hey what does he do in cases like this...make believe he is coming for the starter that just so happens to be him?
  23. So far it looks like Morales is going to have trouble getting out of the first inning.
  24. First guy up....first guy on....but hey...there is a rainbow over Fenway
  25. A two year deal for Ortiz would likely have been perfect this time around. Sox would have saved some cash. David would have had the security of at least a two year deal. Now however a two year deal takes him to the 2014 season and that may not work for the Sox. Even with that I am not sure Ortiz would have been happy. Does not appear to be OK with the idea that you get max money for the shortest term and as the term goes up the money per year goes down. It sounds like Ortiz would not have been happy unless he could have gotten max money over a longer term and that just does not happen.
