  1. Did that look like a bunch of guys that care whether they win this game or not...I mean really care.... not just to the level of the usual "every guy in here wants to win every game ********". If they don't blow it tonight it will be tomorrow night...if not tomorrow night it will be the night after. It is a sick sorry assed excuse for a baseball team. As for keeping Miller out there....that may or may not have worked....easy to second guess....I have been OK with Miller against RH hitter really really early in stints. Not sure how many pitches he was up to at that point but over ten pitches and would not have trusted him there.
  2. If we do lose we lost it in the 6th when we squandered that opportunity to score the 3rd run of the game. Although I completely agree with Oral. What the f*** was Miller doing playing the grinning idiot in the dugout after his stint along with the rest of them doing about the same thing. No intensity...no desire to win....nothing but a bunch of ********. If they win tonight they will be lucky to do it and I just don't think it will mean anything anyway. If you can't be into this game, if you can be that easily distracted from this game, in the 8th inning of a squeaker in Yankee Stadium...Holy s***....you have already packed it in.
  3. The Yanks may just have pinch hit for Ichiro to get back to RH hitter against LH pitcher. Not many options there for the Sox under the circumstances and we would likely be yelling at V no matter what he did since it would have likely been a fail.
  4. The only other guy I think would have been Padilla and he has been a complete nut job in these Yankee games as if the whole Tex - Padilla thing has totally gotten to him so that he is totally defocused on what he is doing on the mound. I no longer trust Padilla at all in these games even pitching to RH hitters and I guess V does not either.
  5. Well Oral we know they are basically a bunch of *******s that are more intense about where they are going to spend their vacation time than winning a baseball game...so I really appreciate you pointing that out.
  6. 1)Miller stays in the Pen 2) I don't want to see Padilla in this game to do anything
  7. Well the problem with what we saw was that throw was no kinda' rocket at all...that was a blooper. A good hard throw would have been on much more of a line and yet he was still in obvious pain. It looked good cause he was in way short LF but that was not a rocket at all.
  8. Wow...way to go...that was a terrific effort all around....I sort of think that picture of Crawford after the throw tells the whole story though at least on him.
  9. You had to see though that Jeter was aiming to shoot the ball that way. Luck would be trying to pull the ball and shooting it to RF instead. Just because we don't do much of this stuff does not mean other hitters don't.
  10. Well I guess V really has no choice here. It would either be Padilla or Fats right? Under the circumstances it has to be Fats.
  11. Wow what a big K...
  12. This is beyond frustrating to watch. Yanks are playing for the 1 run to tie the way we should have been playing for it to pad the lead. Granted they are playing at home where you should always play to tie first but that is not the point. We had the lead, desperately needed to get 1 more and did nothing to try to get it.
  13. We won't get out of this inning without more damage...place is to small...Yanks hitters are to good and we will have to get luckier than we seem to be lately.
  14. Suddenly Felix is sitting at 100 pitches with no outs in the 7th inning of a 1 run game that should at least still be a 2 run game.
  15. Well that was only a matter of time in this place. Now we start to pay for the wasted opportunities.
  16. Salty could have hit it out but in reality just about the only thing he could have hit safely there was a HR and if he sacrificed it would have been an accident not a success by design.
  17. Well in truth.....that was just a bad spot for the Sox..Salty has no bat control...nothing really to do there. That was a matter of the odds being totally against the Sox unless they were willing to pull Salty and that would not have made sense there either
  18. Please God get a run in here by hook or by crook...take all three outs to do it if you have you...please!!!!!
  19. Way ta' go Felix...now if he starts off with a walk next inning they can pull him. Please get at least one more run though...at least one last inning was vital...really had to happen. To dependent on bashing hits to get runs and sometimes as it gets later in the game you have got to take your one run...extend the lead and then try to get more. But believe it or not this is a totally different game at 3-0 vs 2-0. That is why you have to play for that 3rd run.
  20. This is why in part I never got excited about seeing the speed guys get back. There is only one benefit....taking more bases on base hits...that's it. It does not matter who manages the Sox. It is uncanny but they just do not use speed even when it is an obvious play to make
  21. That was just stupid. I agree with Tito...I did not think they would have thrown through on a steal of 2nd either and we could have stayed out of the DP. That is why I wanted them to get Carl stealing there. Think we could have had that base for nothin'
  22. Ya gotta get Carl to get out of the DP
  23. This is a great spot for Pedey...no DP again please
  24. Why the hell would you swing at that...I know why...as usual Carl had no idea where it was going
  25. OK lets see what the speed twins do here
