  1. Well as screwy and three ring circus as I think this is and how much more sense it likely made to just leave Morton who was kicking our asses in for one or two if not three more outs in the 8th, Cash has done this before without all the hoopla and did it last year for that matter. The more we finally get something from the particulars on this I suspect it was Angel that f***ed this up. How much of a shocker would that be!
  2. Awe inspiring 9th inning. I still think the Sox will crawl in as the 5th team snd quietly exit.
  3. Geezus H Christ I am so frustrated with this pen for half a hun I would take off some weight and go try out and I could not pitch when I could play!
  4. Maybe Cora does not believe the pitching changes and the hitters were announced properly which would definitely be a problem if it happened.
  5. I don't know what Cora is protesting. As long as the guy who came in to pitch pitched to one batter, I don't think Cora has a complaint. What happens to the batting order could be in question and what happens to the DH.
  6. Green....28.....Green.....28......Green 28 Hut "and the pitcher runs around left end".
  7. Do you actually think Torre is any less confused than Angel?
  8. Still and all...Ringmaster Cash is as much responsible for this circus. My God IMO he deserves being swept for the way he has handled this series. Hard for me to call out a manager like this especially one I tend to like, but MOTHER OF GOD!
  9. Look at him....He's still confused!
  10. Angel consulting his notes. Thank God he is not a demolition specialist.
  11. Oh my God....if Manfred did not have his head stuck directly up his own ass THIS would be driving him crazy.
  12. So let me get this straight, Skipper Cash....this freak show is better than just leaving Morton in for an out or two?
  13. I suppose I have already posted this in a way...but I would not have removed Morton Salt for the 8th. I would have brought him out for the 8th and at least attempted to get the first out of the inning out of him if not more.
  14. What the f*** are you smiling about Hembree?
  15. There are tons of hitters out there that can't do anything against good pitching. In the first place, they don't even recognize good pitching. They just trudge back to the dugout until next time or trot around the bases after a HR. If you are always going to approach your AB like the count is always 2-1, you are very likely to look like most hitters look today.
  16. At least Morton Salt is out of the game UNLESS Cash brings him back for the 8th. The more I think about it, the more I think that likely. If it were me, I would bring him back. But then thats me. He has us more flummoxed now that at the start of the game.
  17. I have two hopes for MLB baseball: 1) That idiot Manfred gets rid of the rocket ship (not likely...if anything he will likely continue to make it MORE of a rocket) 2) That command again become the priority for pitchers it once was and/or the general level of sludge that represents as MLB pitchers DISAPPEARS Hitting discipline will follow what happens with the baseball and the pitchers though some assistance regarding the overload shift would likely help as well. That would be third on my list.
  18. biggest win of the season for the Sox IMO if they can finish this off.
  19. Good job Chris. Learn to get easier outs.
  20. That might not be a great idea either and it does not resolve the basic problem. He needs to get easier outs. More called strikes, more swing and miss in the zone and more weak contact for more easy outs.
  21. Actually, the way we use our pen...constantly and to no avail, we can't take it. Erod is now our pitching star purely based on his climbing innings totals. None of the rest are even close to him at this point include Sale.
  22. Notice that throwing 96-97 at the belt line or lower and/or low right in the fat part of the plate is doing nothing for Sale either. That is called "wild in the strike zone". I don't care what your name is or how hard your throw, leave those there and they will not get by ML hitters...they just won't.
  23. Two outs and a runner on 3rd and OB is telling us that a "stirke out would be key". Actually any old out will do with two outs. He is so strike out happy. As for Sale, he really is going through the mid-life pitcher transition IMO. I would like to see him cut back just a bit on the FB vilo and earn himself some cheaper outs. Get more called strikes and swing and miss. He is not a nibbler but so much of his past success has come on getting hitters to chase and he is just not getting enough of those 95-96-97 FB's within range of even these swing happy hitters offering at them. Plus the command on his secondary pitches tends to go to hell because he is often overthrowing to get to 96-97. Its driving his pitch counts even higher than we are used to seeing and he does not appear to have the stamina he had when he was younger either. IMO he has to learn how to get some easier outs than what he tends to get so he does not get so worn down.
  24. Key for Beni will be if he can stay upright like he is now in the batters box and not lengthen that stride of his. He has been upright like this before and eventually that stride gets bigger and bigger and that is when he really digs a hole for himself. Of course everybody telling him how "pretty" that stupid long stride looks probably does not help him any.
  25. If he is walkin' the way he was walkin' in the video I saw, he looks a bit too much like Duncan the Geico Walrus Goalie.
