  1. I have been watch the Red Sox alot for the last couple but yrs, but I have been a fan none the less since I was about 11. So I guess almost 13 years. I never watched baseball a ton but when I did it was always a Red Sox game. I loved watching the playoffs though. It wasnt until the last couple years I really started paying attention to the team and watching a ton of games.
  2. Didnt get to see the game today, just glad we got the win even if it wasnt pretty. Man am I glad we swept Baltimore..... Taking on the Rays next is going to be a challenge.
  3. Papi got in a fight? I didnt see the game tonight Ugh.... Did he at least win lol?
  4. Didnt get to see the game, such a shame.... Looks like the team really showed up tonight.... The back to back to back was sick. I know you cant get to excited about beating Baltimore but hey a win is a win right And the Yanks lost tonight to!!!
  5. It really is a thing of beauty to see that record at the end of the day with 50 plus wins right now.... I dont care how we have won some of the games, at the end of the day when I see how nice our record looks it makes it worth while.... After sitting through my other teams (Senators, Seahawks) Last year its a breath of fresh air to see Boston doing so well this year. Just have to keep it up. I dont wanna be the one to jinx this team. The one thing I find funny is that this division as of late has been between the Yankees and Red sox.... Yankees trying to keep the lead but Boston closing in on them... It must be driving Rays fans nuts after the season they had last year lol.
  6. Always great to get the W, but losing Lester wasnt worth it.... The injuries are ridiculous as of late. Now would be as good of time as any for Lackey to jump out of his slump..... no?? It could happen.....
  7. Ya im not sure if its a good thing or not.... I sure love when the hot streak comes though, I remember when they started the season really rough and alot of ppl werent to worried knowing once the Red Sox catch a hot streak they are a tough team to stop.... But they do seem to be a team built on confidence, once that is snapped by a bad game it seems to be a tough task to get that streak back together. On a side note it seems to be the case with the Yankees and Rays this yr as well, its been a strange division.
  8. Just curious, is that what the problem is with Lackey? Personal problems, or is he hiding an injury of some type? I havent payed much attention to the reasons as why Lackey is struggling, but its sure noticable lol.
  9. Been browsing over the forum for about a month or so now. Just thought I would give some background on myself. I am pretty new to baseball. My dad is a huge Sox fan.... has been for years, I always watched Sox games here and there but was never a die hard fan or knew every single player on the team like most of you guys here do lol.... Even now I dont know the entire roster, but lately I have been watching alot more games and getting alot more interested in baseball. Its fun to see the team doing well, even though guys like Lackey, and Mcdonald seem to be struggling. Its a tight division this year and its been pretty exciting. Being a Canadian I do get alot of trash talk when I wear my Redsox hat but I guess it comes with the territory. I had to hear alot of talk today after the Jays won. Its a shame I dont get to watch as many games as I would like to, if I am not working I am usually out with my gf or playing hockey or out drinking lol. However there is nothing better then being able to sit outside, watch a game and have a beer. As for sports background I am an absolute die hard Seahawks fan, and Sens fan. I think I have watched just about every Seahawks game since 04. About the time I started to like watching sports. I am only 23 right now. I didnt really start watching sports till I was 16. None the less it would be nice to see the Sox take the division this yr and or at least grab a wild card spot. Sens had a rough yr last year, and although the Seahawks made the playoffs and got a nice win over the Saints I dont really consider a 7-9 record a successful yr lol, but ill take it if it means playoffs. Anyway thats all for me... Ill be around quite a bit. Mainly looking at convos, I usually love getting involved in discussions or debates. I am over on a Seahawks forum and love talking football..... however being relatively new to watching the mlb I dont know all the rules or players just yet lol so I may embarrass myself if I try to add in my two cents. But hopefully ill be around quite a bit and can talk with a few of you. Most of you guys and girls seem to pretty nice around here and know your stuff quite well
