    Fair enough, but too early to tell.... We are 1 game out of a playoff spot right now, and I honestly don't see Texas keeping this play up all year. Sox aren't what they were last year but they will compete for a playoff spot and as I mentioned in another thread. A one game playoff match against Tampa, Oakland or Texas doesn't scare me what so ever. Houston or the Stanks.... Ok but I doubt that will happen.

    I normally don't call people stupid..... But if you truly believe him making 5 mil a season is over paid you are truly as stupid as it gets. Sorry to be so blunt but my god man.... You can't possibly think this..... Let me ask you something then. Who would take Porcello's place as a 3rd guy in the rotation and consistently give us 6 innings, a chance to win nearly every time they pitch, and probably will take a nice discount because he wants to stay in Boston? Porcello has been very solid this year outside of his last 2 starts. His 8 starts prior to these he gave up 3 runs or less in 7 of those 8 games. Mariners, and Guardians game was a bit disappointing for him but a bad outing against the Yanks is acceptable as it's the Yanks and they have given every pitcher they have faced this season fits. Much like Houston does with Chris Sale.

    Trading Porcello is silly in my opinion. Won't find another pitcher to take the 3rd spot with his consistency of going 6 plus innings, gives us a chance to win nearly everytime he pitches and likely won't cost that much. Depending I guess who we could get in place of him but I think it's a bad decision.

    No...... We are still competing for a Wildcard playoff spot, if we were a good 10 games out and getting worse then I would be in agreement...... But right now definitely not. We still have a shot at making playoffs and honestly..... If we play a team like Tampa or Texas or Oakland in a one game Wild Car spot I like our chances...... Winning the World Series and competing for a playoff spot in my opinion makes no sense to blow up the roster. Anything can happen come playoffs (it's making it that I am concerned about) We have beat a good Tampa team and a good Oakland team this year. We have struggled against Houston and the Yankees but that doesn't mean we should blow this team up. If not for that horrendous start to the season we would be battling for top spot in the division.

    Lucky for us.... We should compete for a Wild Card spot through the entire season.... No way in hell Texas keeps this play up.

    At this point is it even worth it? I know anything can happen in the playoffs. But honestly we are 2-8 against Houston and the Yanks. The Sox are showing me absolutely nothing that they can win a series against either of these guys come playoffs. Price is pitching today. If we can’t win with our best pitcher up we legit are garbage.

    I agree. But I’m also one that still thinks we have far too much damn talent to be losing and stinking like this. Go from the most dominant team in Red Sox history last season to this s***. It’s humiliating and quite frankly they deserve it. To have this much talent and not even be In a playoff spot it’s f***ing embarrassing. Cora won’t last long. And I’m so sick of his calm personality. Every time they interview him he says the same s*** “we will get better bla bla bla” how about light a fire under this team. We have yet to beat the Yankees or even look like we belong in these gmes. Good thing I’m drunk.
