    Meh all this talk is pointless, we are resigning Porcello and that's that. Sox organization will make the right decision Instead of a complete dumb ass decision by letting him walk.

    Sales ERA is starting to look better and better after that atrocious start. As long as he pitches like he has been and the offense brings it like they have the last couple games this should be a walk in the park.

    That has been my life lately with a newborn. Can watch parts and then go 5 or 6 innings missing a bunch hahaha.

    Agreed!! That shot he took to the jaw with that puck made me legit cringe..... I will say as a fan of neither team this has been a very entertaining series. I still think the Bruins take it in 6 but the Blues have had a season for the ages..... Started off so slow and went on a terror late in the second half and right through to the Stanley Cup.

    Lol I try to not let myself do it but with the way the Sox have been playing lately. It just happened hahaha.

    Was good enough. Against this team I expected more but he gave us a chance to win. The offense has been pitiful.

    This season has just been one disappointment after another. I thought we could get things going. But..... wow.

    Shouldn't take much to win against this team hopefully. E-Rod should be able to have a decent game against them. I trust he goes 6 and gives up nothing more than 2.

    Ya fair enough, Stroman is wildly inconsistent at the best of times as well. He was atrocious last year if I recall and he was excellent the year before..... He has been pretty solid for the Jays this year.

    Maybe he can just swap places with Stroman for us lol. I would take it!

    Winning a World Series should definitely grade him a bit higher by other teams. He hasn’t been overly great this season however. The one plus is he is only 25 (or 26) so he is still young and can probably negotiate a decent contract with a team. He might even get a bit more consistent with age? I dunno.

    If we can’t win this series we don’t deserve to beat anyone.

    Ya I don’t have anything against the guy at all. And he definitely can deliver a great game. I wish he was just a bit more consistent at times. He has never wowed me as a guy we need to keep. But with that said and his contract I’m happy he’s apart of the rotation right now.

    Honestly, E-Rod is one player I wouldn't be choked about to see go. Not that he is a bad player by any means but I think he is pretty replaceable.

    This year Porcello has gone 59 innings and given up 27 runs. Bumgarner has gone 61 innings given up 32 runs. Though I do like Bumgarner and if we signed him I wouldn't be livid, I do however think it's pointless..... If he is asking for the same price as Porcello or more keep Porcello..... (I would definitely assume it's more as Porcello said he will take a discount)

    Everyone struggled out of the gates though including Sale, E-Rod and Eovalid. It was a total mess at the beginning of the season. Porcello actually was one of our better pitchers to start the season next to Price. All I'm saying is his strong games came against very very good teams. Fine take the bad with the good..... His s*** games were against the Yankees, Guardians, and Orioles (maybe Mariners.... he went 6 innings and gave up 4 runs) His very solid games were against Tampa, Oakland and Houston. 2 extremely good teams and 1 pretty good team. Porcello as mentioned is a guy that can win you a game or lose you a game but he has way more solid games than bad games and he is a pitcher you can put against anyone which is not an easy task to do. Generally a pitcher has a team they struggle with. Sale against Houston, Price against Yankees etc.

    For a 3rd starting guy that is what you get. You aren't going to get a friggin Price or Sale at the 3rd spot. I guess it all comes down to money and what he wants but 15 mill a year Porcello deserves it. There is no question.

    I would. Take away 3 s*** games from Porcello this season and he has a really good ERA. Not to mention he was lights out against a very good Oakland team and an even better Houston team. Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying Porcello is our ace. But I honestly don’t think we will find a better 3rd guy than Porcello. Wouldn’t make sense to me trying our luck with a different pitcher.

    Not to mention, Binnington has never been pulled from a game before.... This could make or break him. A lot of times it takes goalies a while to get that confidence back after being pulled in a game especially playoffs. If the Bruins take game 4 this series is a done deal.
