Did he show any spark or fire? Or was it the same old boring ass personality he usually shows? At least he isn't giving the usual "we fought hard and will continue to fight" He acknowledges that we suck and need to do something.
Damn well said!!!!
I have been saying this all along. And people defend it by saying “when you go against the best pitchers that’s what happens” Actually. No..., no it’s not what happens. That’s what happens to average and below average teams. Good pitching shuts them down. However. Good offensive teams find ways to win those games and score runs whether it’s against the starter or the reliever. This team last year found ways to put up runs against the very good teams and pitching. This year on the other hand is a different story. You can pretty much pencil in a loss this year when we face a decent pitcher. Last night we held the 2nd ranked offensive team to 3 runs going into extras. That is not on the pitching what so ever. The offense needs to do its part. You won’t beat the Astros, Yankees or even Rangers scoring 3 runs or less. It’s that simple.
Would it kill us to put up a few runs against a top team as well? I would love to see the offense come alive tonight. We may need 9 or more to win this game. Last year I could trust that this team would do it..... Now..... totally different story.
I like Kickboxer, Bloodsport, Lionheart, The Quest and Sudden Death
Actually out of his new movies I really liked The Bouncer. A super dark violent role but pretty cool. Van Damme can be entertaining if he wants.
I have said all along if we can get a Wild Card game I think we are gold..... With the way Sale has been pitching I think we win that game (then again, with this offense who the hell knows and BP) but now I just honestly don't think we make the playoffs. I don't think Texas is quite the pretend team I thought they were and Oakland is still decent. Too much competition and we are playing .500 baseball. Unless we get on a roll quick this season is a massive fail.
Sure was! The earlier movies were good (Hard to Kill, Marked For Death, Under Siege) but my god..... the Later movies when he starts to bulk up were just painful lmao.
Exactly!
"mojo" only applies when we are winning. We haven't had "mojo" all year so whatever we are doing on this board clearly isn't working. Unless you count beating the Royals and other garbage teams as mojo.
Happens quick in sports. To go from one of the top teams in MLB history to not even in a playoff spot. Makes fans scratch their heads. A small piece of me still thinks we can right this ship..... but damn it’s frustrating lol.
Rangers (Jurado) squares off against The Red Sox (Darwinzon Hernandez)
Boston's No 1 pitching prospect gets the nod tonight.............. Ugh..... Good luck kid. I hope we don't crush his spirits for years to come.
Ariel Jurado for Texas has been very good his last 3 starts for Texas.
I've said numerous times on here how absolutely stupid it would be to let Porcello go..... But with the way this season is going I wouldn't be surprised if the Sox organization made a move like that.
Yup and now the Raptors are in deep trouble...... I can't see them winning in Golden State for a 3rd straight time I Just can't..... and game 7 is a TON of pressure for the Raptors who have never been here before.... Golden State has been in this situation numerous times.
It's absolutely insane that we are sitting here talking about "we should trade this guy, we should get this guy, we need to do this to get back to the playoffs" literally a year after having one of the best teams in Red Sox history. The Houston Astros won the World Series 2 years ago and had MORE wins last year than in their World Series year but lost to us and their fans were talking about trades and the coaching situation (now they are right back to being contenders and favorites to win the World Series) Makes me think Cora is on a hot seat right now. Amazing what a year can do but this team is headed nowhere fast right now.
Well said. It’s actually astonishing we beat the Astros last year it really is. One thing is for sure. If we continue to score 3 runs or less on these top teams we have zero chance at making a wildcard spot. I won’t even talk about winning the division.
