Ouch! My son got hit by pitch on the inside of his right knee. Fortunately most 13 year olds don't throw hard enough to do much more than a bruise.

I think Middlebrooks is a corner batter, and much to my surprise IGGY maybe showing us he also has a good stick. I would have never thought so but for goodness sakes he has really been using the chip on his shoulder and hitting well every time he makes the club this year. I've been impressed with his fight.

Any chance they sign Drew to a couple more years? I really think he's going to hit for better average by the end of the year and his defense has been really good. What if IGGY plays really good at third, which I think he has. Could an infield work of: 1B. Middlebrooks 2B Pedroia SS Drew 3B Iggy

I hate hate hate the idea umps have different strike zones for different pitchers. I know it happens, but it just seems wrong.

I really expect Drew to go on a terror at some point it really seems like he gets robbed off of a lot of really well hit balls this year.

Not pleased with the boys tonight.... but I've seen us come from behind more than once this year.we are still in this. Yanks should have put up more runs on Lester, they have kept an opening for us to win this thing. Sox win 5 -3.
