  6. Papi needs to pull something.
  7. Don't give Crush anything to hit...
  8. What was up with that play by Drew? I have Gameday right now.
  9. Come on Jonny, work through it.
  10. My homework mojo is working, but the true mojo is BTR and Taylor Swift mojo!!!
  11. Red Sox game on the TV, Talksox GT open, and UConn football on the radio in another room. Life is good.
  12. Let me get some homework mojo going. Worked last night.

Stat of the Day: The Red Sox have allowed 14 runs in their last eight games. Their starters have a 1.64 earned run average in that stretch. Notes: The Sox have won four straight and five of their last six. At 24 games over .500, they have matched their high-water mark for the season and they start the day with a 2.5-game lead in the division. The Sox also have the best record in the American League in the chase for home field advantage throughout the postseason. ... Baltimore has lost three of four and is 23-25 since the All-Star break. ... Lester is 15-2, 2.72 in 23 career starts against Baltimore. In two starts this season he has allowed five earned runs over 12 innings. Lester is 4-1, 2.31 in his last seven starts. ... Song of the Day: "Killer Parties" by The Hold Steady.
  17. Rays didn't need Rodney to blow it today. My goal is that the Sox be at least 3 games ahead of the Rays when their 3 game series in TB starts in 2 weeks. That is the last meeting. The Sox could put them out of the race essentially, but they have insurance. If they happen to get swept, they still have a lead.
  18. Ells right back in there today. Looks like he was taken out as a precaution.
  19. Why do you think he's gone? The only thing he has lacked this year is the power, which he only had once in the best. If anyone in this OF was the odd man out, it would be Gomes/Nava/Carp. Now I love Gomes, Nava has been great all year, and after last night, I want to see Carp stay. Tough call, but I think Ells definitely stays.
  20. Nice. I had a chance to go but I can't because it's a school night. Summer's over!!!
