  1. 0 ER works for me. Ciriaco does not... -_____- and now I see it is an ER... so... -__________________- ;;;
  2. Great base awareness there Ortiz.
  3. I think we all expected Ortiz to take it slow around the bases.
  4. Well... I called the XBH by Ortiz Hopefully he starts to run better soon.
  5. Here we go Red Sox!! Rally starts with Pedroia. XBH by Ortiz & Napoli.
  6. Get Tweetdeck or Echofon or both.
  7. TB beating up on Oakland... hmm...
  8. on offense. Red Sox might as well be starting Iggy. If Iggy gets better in AAA and Drew keeps sucking something will have to change, but so few samples right now for both. NaVaaa....
  9. Gomes in LF? Gahhhhh. Also, from FanGraphs: Kansas City at Boston | 19:10 ET Right-handed prospect Allen Webster, acquired last season from the Dodgers in that one trade, makes his major-league debut for the Red Sox. Here’s where Webster ranked on Marc Hulet’s preseason top-100 list: 55th. And on Baseball America’s top-100 prospect list: 49th. And on Bullpen Banter’s same kind of list: 93rd. Mike Newman has seen Webster a couple of times, noting both that (a) Webster is capable of “working full innings at 94-96 mph, touching 98″ but also that ( “Webster’s stuff has fallen off a cliff” after four innings each time.
  10. And it all happened on 420!!!!
  11. Great win! Glad to see Buchholz improve to 4-0 even though it's a relatively meaningless stat. Is Buchholz going to compete for the Cy Young this year? Buchholz only allowed one walk through his eight innings pitched. Farrell only had to use Bailey out of the pen so with the double-header tomorrow the BP is well-rested. I am excited for Webster's debut. I see him & Dempster keeping the "3ER or Less by Starters" streaking continuing through Sunday. Three game set versus the Athletics begins Monday. I would not be surprised if the streak ended then (if not Sunday). It's going to be tough enough to play the double-header but then to turn around and take on the fiery A's the next day... that'll be tough. Billy Beane's As have scored almost 100 runs, which is ~30 more than any other team in the majors. Middlebrooks & Drew need to snap out of it! We saw evidence of life from those two today, and Big Papi looks like he's ready to pickup where he left off before his achilles injury. Nava has been really amazing. He's slugging .684 right now!! I am really enjoying watching this team. This is such a refreshment after last years debacle. edit: And, I really hope Farrell would just rotate closers: Hanrahan/Bailey/Tazawa/Koji. No reason he shouldn't.
  12. wow.. way to make it crazy for us
  13. big fckn surprise. poor middlebrooks.
  14. Nava = MLB STARTER? WUT?
  15. HOLY f***IGN s*** NAVA!!!WWWWW TF!!!!' pgiWJG:OIQ#G qoi;jg3QIPJ1ij1iq'Qt1
  16. Cmon Nava .... walk or XBH actually, 2nd thought... walk would mean WMB and I'm worried on him
  17. Papi! PaPi! PAPi! PAPI! PAPI! PAPI!
  18. Wait... so, Gomes is going to play Left Field? .... I mean, the XBH is great but... i guess the idea is that the Red Sox take the lead this inning and the bullpen ends the game?
  19. This OBP Nava, O-B-P.
  20. At least shields is out.
  21. Reasons, 1. Shields is pitching 2. Middlebrooks has lost himself. 3. Buch has allowed three lead-off doubles. 4. Napoli has no XBH to makeup for today's K's. 5. Perez got a lucky hit.
  22. Betcha it's still under a 15 pitch and 0R inning Lead off double sucks tho
