    Lind was a top prospect for the Jays. Maybe a change of scenery is what he needs.

    Farrell was an outstanding pitching coach. Last time I checked, this team is terrible at pitching. I like the hiring and I like that stone hands is now part of te blue jays organization.

    This guy is no better than a John McDonald. He is not a 5 tool player. I don't know how you guys have been blowing him for years now. He has never been able to hit....ever. He has wheels and a glove and not much else. He will always be one of those player that makes a living with minor league affiliated teams.

    NEWS: Red Sox acquired 3B Danny Valencia from the Twins in exchange for OF Jeremias Pineda. ANALYSIS:* He's been assigned to Triple-A Pawtucket. Valencia was the Twins' Opening Day third baseman but was demoted after batting a paltry .190/.204/.290 with one homer over 27 games. He was blocked in Minnesota by Trevor Plouffe, but he'll have a similar problem in Boston behind Will Middlebrooks. I like Valencia. He's young still with some upside. This kid mashed at the U. Hopefully he can turn out to be something.

    Boy, most of you blew a load when Aceves shut the door against the yanks. Now everyone wants his head. He has been solid filling in for Bailey this year. Closers blow games, it happens. I just think the timing of the blown save has everyone's panties in a bunch.

    Did anyone else like to see Bobby V and Beckett fired up last night? It showed me that they don't think this season is over and it showed how much that game meant to them last night. I thought I saw a little team chemistry last night and wouldn't be surprised if this team starts to kick it in gear.

    According to ESPN's Buster Olney, the Red Sox are now "unlikely" to trade Josh Beckett. Olney says the Red Sox talked to a "small handful of teams about him" but found no offers to their liking. Beckett is owed a total of $31.5 million in salary over the next two seasons and has posted a 4.57 ERA in 17 starts this year. It's doubtful Boston got any great offers.
