    Can anyone update me on how we scored two runs in the ninth? Fox says Gozo had an RBI double, but that was it. Final score of 6-3 shows 2 runs in the 9th. EDIT: OK, Fox had it messed up. Final score was 5-3, not 6-3. GameDay on Foxsports.com is sometimes useless.

    Papelbon has sucked this season at critical times no matter how many saves he has. He was given a 2-hit, 3 run lead and gave it all back but for a blown call at the plate. It's wierd cos he is in his contract year and is gonna leave millions on the table with his erratic performance. BTW, Tek's attempt at a tag looked like he never anticipated a slide...he was high of a tag by almost a foot.

    Let's see...the AL is kicking the NL asses in interleague play, but the NL is licking our ass...and we are facing the dregs of the NL. How far will the Sox fall in the next Power Rankings...

    The Sox enjoy messin' with the pundits' ( and Vegas odds makers) heads. When we were favored to win it all at the beginning of the season, the Sox stunk it up so badly that we fell to the bottom of the Power Rankings. The pundits had decided the Sox were way overrated, and nothing but an average club. So the Sox went on a tear, and bolted from last place to first place in the AL East. Ahh...so then the pundits declared that they were right all along, and moved the Sox into the top spot in the Power Rankings. And since then, the Sox have lost 3 straight to the dregs of the NL. Soon Tito will have to hire a bodyguard.

    Losing a series to the lowly Pads is no way to begin a lengthy interleague road trip.

    Wouldn't it be great if there is a rainout? I wonder how long it can pour...I hope Tito is doing a raindance.
