  1. Call him up already! lol
  2. Exactly! Duran could make this team even better. What's wrong with that? Duran will likely be better than Santana and Marwin. In my book, he will perform better than Kike and probably Arroyo —or at least create more competitiveness. As you said, if he hurts the team he could be sent down again and to keep working. No big deal.
  3. If he splashes he will play everyday.
  4. Arroyo has been healthy and still those guys play way more. Also, Duran can share AB with Kike and Arroyo in the worst case scenario. i.e. you will have a “luxury” depth on the bench and more competitiveness by definition with Duran there. Kike and Arroyo won’t relax and Santana/Gonzalez could level up their game. Said that, don’t get me wrong, I trust in Bloom and Cora but it doesn’t mean I disagree at times on how they manage things like the leadoff issue and the keeping Santana/Gonzalez and not calling up Duran. Not sure how this could be a wrong move in any way.
  5. I don’t think you got the point. The JD defense thing is just the bar level. JD is not the best defensive player but he is good enough to play decently. If Duran plays better than JD, say 50% better, we will not have a problem regarding defense.
  6. We suffered more than we should but we won in the end. I really hate when we struggle against s***** teams like KC.
  7. This. Let him play while he keeps learning and growing. 7-6 lol btw Can we keep the lead this time?
  8. I said it in the other thread. Ríos quietly is becoming another terrific pick up by Bloom.
  9. Can’t believe we have struggled against this s***** team.
  10. You have to give him a chance and figure out but I bet he won’t play the OF worse than JD —which would be the very least you would ask.
  11. You are not addressing the problem Bell. The problem is having Santana/Gonzalez. He is way better than them playing everyday.
  12. Whata frustrating game man. Want to break something lol This should have been 15-5 and we are losing. I still believe we win this but man… Keller is a bum.
  13. Our base running is a disaster. JD and Bobby think they are gacelas geez!
  14. 4-0 and Yankees are losing as well.
  15. Royals being the Royals. JD s*** the bed though. We have everything in our power to win this. Keller is a bum.
  16. I see the things regarding Duran, just the way Nick is seeing it Said that it doesn’t mean I don’t like Bloom or Cora. Duran won’t hurt this team, just the opposite. As Nick said if he goes 0-50 (which is very very unlikely), you can send him back to minors again. He is not that young either. I’d push the button if I were Bloom.
  17. Once again, this is pure 100% common sense. Give the kid a chance.
  18. Oh yeah, I am Bloom’s fan, he definitely knows better than me. And yeah, Kike has improved considerably in last games, which I love it. Said that, IMHO Duran will be a super star and can’t wait to see him in BSOX uniform.
  19. This. He can't be worse than Marwin, Santana and even Kike. Not even close actually.
  20. Forgot Kike. He could be the first option in the mix with Santana and Marwin. Arroyo has had accidents (bad luck), HbP, Collisions, etc., it hasn't been something structural in his body as long as I recall this year. Arroyo IMO is way better option in all aspects than Kike, Marwin or Santana.
  21. My reality check an suggestions... Offense. Our 2-7 (Verdugo-Martinez-Xander-Devers-Renfroe-Vazquez) can hit, and actually pretty well, very often and with pop most of them. What would I do to improve it even more? Let Arroyo leadoff and call up Duran ASASP. That would give you Arroyo-Verdugo-Martinez-XAnder-Devers-Renfroe-Vazquez-8-Duran. Who would I put in the 8th slot? Bobby Dalbec in a regular basis. Yes, Dalbec. Let him play while he keeps learning and growing. 1. Arroyo 2. Verdugo 3. Martinez 4. Xander 5. Devers 6. Renfroe 7. Vazquez 8. Dalbec 9. Duran That would be a nastier lineup than already is. Keep Marwin and Santana if you want and/or call up Cordero as well but only for Defense-PR-PH-and situational occasions. Rotation. We have a bunch of No. 4-5 SPs who have performed most of the times like 1-3. Don't forget that. Arguably Eduardo is the only solid No.3 pedigree pitcher given his track record but other than him, everyone else as I said are at best No 4-5 who have performed over their speciations starting the season. They won't pitch like 1-3 all the times (they actually have most of times) but they will keep us in games hoping the offense give us a win like last night. They all have concerns starting with Richards, but let's not forget that a month ago or so he was actually performing like a solid No 1-2. Maybe as several have suggested he was cheating with the sticky stuff thing. Who knows, give him time. I'm confident he will settle down again and will be a solid No. 3-4 in the rotation. Last 3 innings in yesterday's game after allowing 5 runs were very encouraging. Calm down a bit people. Also, Sale while is still a long shot, I do not discard him at all. All reports; from media, Cora and Sale himself have said over and over again he is in the right direction and very close join the team. Have to be seen though. BP. This is arguably our major strength when you look at the Barnes-Ottavino-Taylor-Whitlock-Sawamura combo. Also you have Rios who quietly has performed well. In the wings you have Bazardo, Houk and Valdez as well. Hernandez is wild but can be useful. Andriese has to go. The later has nothing left in that tank and to be honest we do not need him anymore considering the staff. ...and not the least, we have a couple of intangibles who are not reflected in stats: Cora and Bloom. IMHO without them this team wouldn't have been in this position at this point of the year. We also have to see whether Bloom trade for a SP, BP arm and/or a bat. Knowing him I will not be surprised, if he is already working on that and exploring all kind of possibilities. As I said in April, this team will be a very nice surprise. This year is also the beginning and the base to create the core we will use in order to build our team around moving forward. Geez I'm very excited about our team moving forward, aren't you all?
  22. Barnes-Ottavino-Taylor-Whitlock-Sawamura combo looks pretty nasty to me. That is WS contender BP in my book.
  23. Coming from behind, again. Winning is always great, specially when the Yankees lose. This week could be the death sentence for the Yankees and could become sellers for once and for all.
  24. This should be enough to call it game.
