    What should stop people from making fun of anything? People get offended by completely different things, so saying not to make an offensive joke is like saying not to make any jokes at all.

    If he can get hot during this series, the playoffs would be so much easier to just have one main RF .

    I'm guessing that was what the mystery text message he got last night before the game from the media was. I agree, how do we know that she wasn't the one who wanted out, I mean who would seriously want to be with Lackey anyway? I hate John as much as the next guy, but enough hasn't come out about it to come to any conclusions about the guy.

    Having A-Rod and Jeter on the bench and opting for a guy who's never had an at base with the bases loaded, so glad they ditched Torre for this guy

    I'd say stat-wise their pretty similar, Martin's obviously better defensively though.

    Just make him a relief pitcher, we'll be making more money if we're winning more games. What's going to happen, Lackey's going to get mad and go ******* on us? He's already been like that the last two years.

    Has he ever really showed that he could be a starter? The longest he has ever pitched was 2.1 innings and that was back in May 09. He could have the stuff for it though, and we seriously need some rotation help for next year, we should at least attempt it in spring training first.

    Maybe Guillen is the right guy to put the players in line? They are becoming far too comfortable with Francona. And just imagine the hilariously awkward managing of Bobby Jenks.

    Pitching Game Scores from the last week Josh Beckett: 54 Jon Lester: 52 Tim Wakefield: 43 Kyle Weiland: 35 John Lackey: 10 Erik Bedard: 36 Josh Beckett: 47 Beating out John Lackey's pretty easy, as is Weiland and just off of DL Bedard. Don't you think a rookie call up could pitch about as good or better than Wakefield? 2 earned runs through 5 innings (4 unearned by the way) isn't too bad, but he really shouldn't of given up all those unearned runs.
