  1. Murder them and paint the wall red with their blood!
  2. You bitches think it's a good idea to taunt the person who led the MLB in Mojo this year?
  3. Cardinals it is, then. Well, we took care of '46 but we still owe them one for '67. Beat Detroit and then let's go bird hunting.
  4. I'll just leave this here. http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/10/18/the-uehara-phenomenon/
  5. The pricks will give it to Rivera. Just watch.
  6. I think this Tigers team is the toughest test we're going to face in this postseason. I don't deal in guarantees but if we beat these guys, I think whoever we draw in the Series isn't going to be quite as difficult. If we beat Detroit, we will have gone through the gauntlet of the AL ERA leader, the CY Young, and a guy who won both the CY and MVP award in 2011 and came out on top. Anything can happen but I like our chances.
  7. Agreed 100%. Farrell is head and shoulders better than Leyland. Farrell's made some decisions that have had me wondering what his thought process was but he's good most of the time so I give him the benefit of the doubt and his decisions wind up working most of the time. Leyland, and the rest of the old school ilk like him, are overrated managers who are terrible at their jobs but get all the credit because they're ancient relics of a bygone era where bunting wasn't an awful idea 9 times out of 10 and "grit" and "hustle" were worth more than OBP.
  8. Anybody else think it was weird that Leyland let Iggy bat in the 9th? You'd think he'd want someone with more of a chance to park one and tie up the game.
  9. 6 down, 5 to go. Close these bitches out and then get ready to cockslap whichever unlucky bunch of bitches comes out of the NL.
  10. Odds that Iggy tries to drop one down?
  11. This. Iggy this year was a perfect example of a sell high situation. He's OPS'd under .700 with Detroit and while it's acceptable for a great defensive SS, if you can trade a guy like that for somebody like Jake Peavy, you do it. Especially when you have Xander Bogaerts, a top 5 prospect, waiting in the wings.
  12. Hey everybody! What's the verdict so far?
  13. It won't matter because Lester is going CG SHO tonight.
  14. I think Mike's got this one.
  15. I'm sorry but when I go through the trouble of writing an optimistic paragraph, your job is to sit there and agree with it goddamnit! We'll be fine because I say we'll be fine! You understand!? Please take this only half seriously and read it in an angry southern accent.
  16. I'm sure we'll be fine. People give all the credit in the world to the Detroit pitchers but neglect to mention that we have some pretty good arms of our own. Lester can handle their lineup and once he does, it's game 6 in Boston. No matter what happens tomorrow, Detroit still has to walk into our house and beat us there to move on.
  17. So, who's flipped s*** and jumped ship in the span of these first 7 innings?
  18. Torii Hunter batting leadoff?
  19. All the better. Let the Detroit denizens wallow in more misery as they watch the only thing they have to live for slowly shuffle out of the dugout and into the clubhouse as our boys party on their lawn and spray each other with copious amounts of alcohol.
  20. Now you're just trolling haha.
  21. I give this thread the BTR seal of approval.
  22. Now for an exercise in scary thoughts: I want you all to sit back and consider what those final 4 outs would've been like if Hanrahan or Bailey were still our closer.
