  1. I think that's such ********. You shouldn't be able to change pitchers before a pitch has been thrown.
  2. this team is so insanely frustrating to watch. Men on 1st and 2nd with nobody out, down by 1, and we can't even advance them to 2nd and 3rd. That's high school stuff. Seriously
  3. Yeah. Which is exactly why Outman was pulled after 4, but Buchholz goes out there for the 5th and gets ripped. It also doesn't help us that we're making some journeyman reliever look like a stud.
  4. Andrew Miller faced 1 batter in 7th...Robinson Chirinos fouled off 4 pitches then singled. Finished w/ 0 BB, 9 K (100 pitches/69 strikes) That's 13 IP, 2 BB, 13 K in his last 2 games. Ring, ring.
  5. Really? Going with Atchison right now? If Wakefield is going to take DiceK's starts, why not go with Aceves here??
  6. Wow Buchholz has really just been terrible.
  7. Ortiz is incredibly locked in.
  8. he was being facetious, implying that we're back where we were on April 1.
  9. Actually, for some reason this guy throws from the 3rd base side of the rubber, which bodes well for our LHH.
  10. Left handed rookie going up against us? We'll be lucky to put up 2 runs if history shows us anything.
  11. this team is either unbeatable, or they play like a big bag of dick. It's impossible to have any expectations for them
  12. Wow this is ridiculous. Our SP has turned to complete s***.
  13. If Andrew Miller could just harness a little control he would be an enormous addition to our rotation. Even with a 6.47 BB/9 in AAA, he's still posting a 2.47 ERA. To me, that translates to complete domination when he's throwing strikes. He's got a respectable 7.42 K/9 down there too. Kyle Weiland is crushing the AAA competition as well. He's got a 3.10 ERA this year through 58 IP, while sporting a lofty 10.09 K/9 and a 2.6:1 K/BB ratio. I know Miller is a project, so I'm ok with leaving him in AAA until he can refine his command, because when he does he's going to be dominant. As for right now, though, I'd much, much rather see us give the 5th spot to a guy like Kyle Weiland over Wakefield. He's a young kid with something to prove who can bring a spark to the rotation, and looking at it from a long term perspective, what better time to bring up a young SP than when you've got a team who can push 14 runs on any given night? Weiland could very well be a future starter for our team. Wakefield is just a bridge. Give the ball to Weiland.
  14. We're going to pound Floyd this inning. 4th time around.
  15. Yeah. Hill's elbow "popped" after ball 4 to Dunn. Bard in now.
  16. Wow. From bad to worse. Fantastic.
  17. this team brings out the worst in me. i don't understand how they can lose to such an inferior team, especially at home. It's absolutely abysmal.
  18. I'd hate for Francona to be proactive at all here. That'd be terrible for him to actually get someone going in the pen.
  19. Mother f***er this is frustrating.
